Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Bromsgrove

Absolutely appalled at the lack of empathy shown at Costa Coffee in Bromsgrove today. I went into the coffee shop at around 12.30pm today with my 5 week old son who was screaming and asked a staff member if there was any way I could sit down to feed the baby. The member of staff I spoke with was incredibly rude and suggested the only place I could feed the baby would be in the toilet, as the seating area was closed. I accept we are in a pandemic and Costa Coffee have put this in place to protect the public, however given that the seating area (which is setup with chairs and tables) was empty, I think Costa Coffee could have been more empathetic towards my situation. The young girl behind the counter was stuck up and rude to say the least. Instead, I sat outside on a bench outside to feed my son. I will not be returning to Costa, given how bad the customer service is. I can accept a company policy being in place, but I don't think there was any need for...

I wouldn't normally write a negative review but I feel this should be addressed.yesterday whilst in the que at bromsgrove Costa a young lady came in and very politely asked if she could possibly feed her baby who was obviously crying for afeed ( the seating was blocked off and no-one was in there ) I totally understand that it is very difficult times and policies are in place and you have the right to say no however the way she was spoken to was disgusting. First the young girl said (in the toilets ) when the lady asked to sit at the back in the seating area the girl was very abrupt and rude. There was absolutely no need for this and the staff should be made aware how upsetting this would be for a young mom . I never like to give bad reviews, but this place is shocking. It’s filthy, dirty and looks like it’s in real need of a shake up. All of the tables were dirty, the floors were covered in spilt food and drink, and the ceiling was covered in cobwebs. I was very disappointed with my drink - I was actually very ill after drinking it! I believe they may have either given me oat milk (unprompted, and I would never drink it as I’m celiac!) or the milk was off! Very unsettling either way - also, my drink didn’t taste that great anyway. I won’t fault the staff or baristas for their customer service, as they were really friendly and nice.
