Seen the Facebook post asking for a review or memory so here goes. We never used the court leet as we’d heard there was lots of kids running round all the time, how wrong were the nay sayers! A very well run business even under the trying times of covid-19! We went on a weds afternoon, it wasn’t very busy but the staff were busy cleaning and sanitising. One staff member was even stripping some old varnish off the floor with a scrapper! We was greeted at the host stand by a man who I believe may be the manager, he welcomed us and asked if we had been before, I said no, so he talked us through how the pub works, the company promise, and how the pub works under restriction! He whizzed through it at a pace that didn’t overwhelm us nor bore us, so you could say perfectly! He asked us to track and trace and showed us how, and to sanitise our hands. He told us about the one way system and asked us if we had the app, we didn’t so he explained as to what it was and how to use it, we thought we’d give it a go and he very professionally helped us to use it. He say is at a table near the window, and was very attentive. We ordered fish and chips and a lasagne, both meals came piping hot and were great value for the money. The wait time was a matter of minutes, by the time we had ordered out drinks and they had been delivered the food followed! After our mains we ordered desserts and I had another pint whilst the Mrs had a coffee, I watched the manager talk to customers and he was quite jolly, didn’t seem to be putting on a show and looked like he actually enjoyed his role, which is a rarity. The pub was constantly been sanitised the whole of our visit, and we felt safe in the knowledge they were doing all they can to make sure everyone felt secure. All in all the pub, it’s staff, and the company are doing there very best to make sure everyone has a safe but enjoyable experience. We will definitely be returning once lockdown is lifted. Thank you for making us feel safe and we enjoyed your food,...
Read moreWell, what can I say about The Court Leet. It is by far one of my favourite pubs to visit. Our First time here left that much of an impression that we chose to come back during the Covid19 knowing that we were in the safest of hands. Things were a little different with one way systems, mandatory track and trace and face coverings too. On our arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady named Kelly who asked if we could complete the track and trace and to sanitise our hands, she explained the new process. Some tables were out of use for social distancing and were marked clearly to state, floor stickers for the one way system too. Our table had a sign on so we knew it was clean and sanitised for us, we had paper menus from Kelly. Pub was open with table service only (which let's be honest is an added bonus in my book) The waitress came over to take our food and drink orders i recall her name was Caitlin, very polite and helped us decide on which deal we wanted on the menu as well as the best drink to go with it. The drinks were brought over and placed on table ready for us to take. Whilst awaiting food I could see a poster for their pubsafe promises and the staff had pub monitor tshirts on. Everyone was wearing face masks and using the sanitiser stations they had, and you could just tell the hard work they were putting in to ensure the safety of guests. The food arrived in under 15minutes, my partner had a mixed grill whilst I had a steak and it was cooked perfectly. The waitress came and checked on us and later on cleared our plates offering desserts we kindly declined as we were soo full!. Honestly I cannot reccomend enough, and more so to be able to visit again soon after the pubs can open again, we miss you all, and the beers. If you want great value with a safe feel and Coivd29 Protocols, this is the place for...
Read moreOn the second occasion in 3 weeks this pub served me crispy prawns not crispy jalapeños. The first occasion was a whole serving of prawns which I asked the server 3 times if they were jalapeños inside the batter luckily I did not eat them as I could smell fish, this server returned quickly stating they were prawns (it comes to something when the customers know better than the staff). Tonight I had my bowl of jalapeños although it was mixed with the odd prawn. My daughter has been given incorrect food 3 times in a row and my husband has had uncooked peppers and no onion in his crispy chicken, with fried ONIONS and peppers (at least it was chicken and not fish in his batter) It goes on.... The lazy chefs couldn't even be bothered to grate my cheese on my wrap just gave me chunks with the ends of tomato I wasn't lucky enough to get any other part of a tomato (just the bit left fit for the bin) The glasses are regularly dirty and we often have to ask for clean ones, red's not my colour, and I like my drinks to smell of my drink not dirt. I could go on but you get the picture I only go there as its close to home but today is the icing on the cake. Good luck to anyone who chooses to eat there from what I've heard the complaints are coming in...
