Morrisons Cafe — Restaurant in Broxbourne

I’m sorry to say this will be our final visit to Morrisons Cafe on Amwell Street EN11. Just too many issues which can easily be resolved with better management and a little attention to detail.

Self service screen out of order… we order at the till with a gentleman who quickly and abruptly informs us the toaster is broken! But we can have fried slice it bread and butter which we accept.

The server is a nice man but clearly lacks training in customer service skill.

We eventually pay and move over to the tea/coffee station where it is littered with plastic wrapping and discarded paper towels. There are no serviettes just a kitchen roll.

Breakfast arrives in good time but is missing the buttered bread, our nice friend who served us informed us we didn’t ask for it, but we had because of the whole broken toaster issue! He came back with a slice of butter bread.

Breakfast is barely warm but is well presented. We eat quickly so to benefit from the quickly evaporating heat.

The sign says please leave your trays here but as our breakfast arrived in hand we left our plates and departed… never to return!

Wetherspoons also do a breakfast so we will try...

EDIT I'm changing my review because I keep coming back here and each time, it's not been pleasant. I came here for the kids free meals but when we checked our receipt we'd paid for the child's meal so I asked if they still done the kids free meals and he said "yeah well I don't know how old your child is" I didn't know I needed to tell you my child's age when ordering a child's meal. I came here again and just ordered my child a kids meal and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the chips they had given my son, I told him I would change them for him but he said it's fine but I noticed he left all of them as they were inedible. Why serve a child this? I tried them myself and they were awful. They also never have the meals I want available. I think if you're ordering a fry up you'll be fine.

Amazingly cheap prices. You get what you pay for basically. I really enjoy sitting by the window watching...

Had a meal here a few weeks ago with my Nephew. I had a full English standard spread 2 slices bacon low quality sausages (X2) but no rusk taste so that's a plus, 2x eggs done well fried but no crispy bits and yoke was runny and good, 2x hash browns crisp and hot, mushrooms soft and tastey, toast was standard white bread cost about £6.75 you can add extras but I didn't as it was well enough. The staff are friendly and attentive my little one had the kids chicken nugget meal came with waffle fries but he is autistic so we asked for chips as he has difficulty eating certain foods so they kindly served with chips and beans in a bowl I think lots of kids like food groups to be served seperate.
