Booked a table last minute and they were able to get us in. The table was not ready on arrival but we were happy to wait.

We ordered drinks but did not turn up. Reminded three staff members before they arrived. Forgot our bottle of wine, told them we no longer wanted as we waited too long.

The table wear was taken away then replaced again when we reminded the waiter that we hadn't had out starters yet. It was again taken away before our starters came but we didn't remind the waiter again.

Food came and was good. Lots of rocket leaves, good flavours and portions were generous. The presentation of each dish was excellent.

The decor here was good and also the atmosphere was just right. Great place to bring a partner, work colleagues or larger parties.

A selection of breads was ordered but apon arrived, seemed to be just one type of plain oily bread with a an oil and balsamic dip. Would have beet great to have some different types, not sure if they had run out.

The food was impressive, the service is what let the place down.

The sides didn't turn up but still on the bill so had to ask for these to be removed when paying. They did so with no fuss but no apology.

We enjoyed the food here but all waiters seem to be looking after all tables so don't know what's going on with any of them causing too many missed items and drinks.

Much better organisation if each waiter had 4 tables each to look after so that people are properly looked after and nothing would be forgotten.

We still enjoyed the visit but much better organisation is...

My partner and I have been here a few times over the last couple of months.. I absolutely love the food. It is authentic and very delicious 10/10.

Unfortunately we have found the service to be unsatisfactory the last few visits. We have booked the table for say, 8:30pm we have arrived at 8:30pm expecting to be seated at our table. Every time we have arrived we have been sat in the reception area and offered a drink. This is fine I enjoy sitting there for a while but every time this has been for around 45 minutes! I have had to ask my partner to remind them we are there and to ask when we will have our table, which they immediately seat is when asked. This makes me wonder how long we would be sat there if they were not prompted to seat us.

The guys are really friendly but when you are hungry and waiting 45 minutes for a table you booked well in advance, it is very frustrating.

I have decided to try alternative Italians in the area next time to see what the service and wait time is like there. Which is a shame as I LOVE the food but don’t want to have to turn up 45 minutes early to a table booking.

I appreciate this once but every time is a bit much. This shows this is a regular thing.

Sorry about the review but I think you guys need to be aware as you will lose customers treating them like...

Couldn’t get a table till 8:30. Arrived at this bustling neighbourhood restaurant to be told our table wasn’t ready so we would need to wait in the (rather cramped) lounge area and enjoy a pre-dinner drink. Unfortunately, the bar there was unmanned so after ten minutes I went to find a waiter and a little after that we got our drinks.

We were shown to our table at about ten to nine. Around ten minutes later our orders were taken. A further fifteen minutes or so our starters arrived: some rather odd focaccia bread soaked in a garlicky oil (unpleasant) and a couple of soggy slices of tasteless cheesy bread (purportedly, “bruschetta”).

Our mains arrived at around a quarter to ten, over two hours after we were supposed to have been seated. Mine was a slightly unyielding slice of chicken in an admittedly tasty cream sauce. Others had pale, doughy pizzas with blamd fillings laced with chilli. Staff were plentiful but not always responsive and one dropped cutlery onto an older member of the party’s arm when removing plates, with no discernible apology.

Busy though it was, the slowness made the not terribly enjoyable experience unpleasantly prolonged, the knowledge there would be a hefty bill at the end of it less palatable still. Wouldn’t...

Such a busy place! Always wanted to come here when I lived in the area and finally had chance! Quick service though, from the moment we sat down and ordered water to drink whilst we decided what to have from the large choice menu to when we finished. We had a selection platter for 2 for our starters whixh came with a selection of salads, meat selection, prawns with praw cocktail sauce, anchovies, olives, mozzarella and tomatoes and Italian bread but that went down quickly before I got chance to snap a photo of it 😅 They have a fine selection of wines alongside a selection of spirits, gins, beers, draughts, ciders and soft drinks something for everyone. The atmosphere was great, the dining area looks great and they've got good social distancing precautions (besides half the staff wearing their masks below the nose, either wear it properly or don't wear it at all). The mains arrived in a great time, were hot and tasted fresh and delicious! I will say that you do need to come here with an appetite as the portions are on the bigger side and are quite filling! Would 100% recommend to come here and try this fine Italian cuisine, I'm sure I will when I move back closer to the area!

Often come here for that special Italian meal, the staff are always friendly, helpful and courteous, again it didn't disappoint, pre-drinks in their lounge that has some great mural's, although the seating now requires attention as the foam in the seats has collapsed making them hard, this didn't detract from the evening though.. The seating in the restaurant is extremely comfortable, the food was plentiful and delicious.😋 Will return again!! April 2022, returned again with a party of 12, have eaten here twice since my previous review, nothing in that review has changed and the menu remains full of mouthwatering choices in every section, the food arrived for the whole group simultaneously, and the waiting staff were always available to replenish drinks. Thank for another wonderful evening and meal...... "I would add", that parking is safe outside the restaurant after 6pm on the single yellow line if you arrive earlier then you'd have to park either in the boxed area's in the street or near the tram stop.... Enjoy your meals..

I have been eating occasionally at Amores for many years, but it was probably about 5 years since my last visit. I had clearly forgotten just HOW GOOD the food is. The menu is great to enable you to construct the dish how you like, choosing your main component (i.e. meat) cooked in a way you like and then selecting appropriate sides, such as pasta, fries, veg etc to suit your mood. The options are all so very tempting! Service is quite speedy, with very helpful and friendly staff making you feel well looked after. The Tiramisu is divine... it was all exceptional but I will be having dirty dreams about that dessert.... If you haven't tried it yet, please do. It's well priced and you will leave feeling so very very happy.
