Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Broxtowe

I ordered a large cold drink (simple?). Once I sat down I realised my large was the same size as my friend's medium. When I went up and pointed out that I had ordered a large, the man apologised and went to transfer it to a large.

Before he did so, he filled the large cup up to the brim with ice. Another customer even pointed out to me that I shouldn't accept whatever he was about to do. I called out that all he was doing was adding more ice and another member of staff corrected me telling me he was just adding more because it's a large.

Whilst I tried to point out to her that he was now trying to pour the medium cup (that was already full of ice) into the completely full large cup, I then noticed that he was unable to empty all of the juice in the medium into the large because there was so much ice. He tried scooping some ice out of the large which also lost more juice and then added a bit more juice to make up for it.

So in the end I ended up with less than a medium but they all refused to listen! Wasn't worth my breath to keep arguing but their thinking skills were poor. All he had to do was decant the medium into the large, add some juice and then a...

Love the coffee at Costa, but I don't go regularly, as it can be expensive for food..... Called in here last Monday (11th July 2022 ) whilst out doing shopping, it was sublime, as the heat was oppressive outside, and the air - con was lovely.....☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ Had an Almond milk chilled frappucino, it was so refreshing...❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️. I love the artworks in here, and the staff are so friendly.....☺️☺️. I needed to use the toilet, but there was a sign on the door saying that it was locked , and a code was needed from one of the staff , so I could get in to use it. It's undoubtedly because 'random' people just walk in off the street to use it, without patronising the establishment. This is obviously, because Broxtowe Council decided to do away with the squares public toilets..... !!! They need to bring them back, pronto.....!!!! I love my mocha and I am picky with how it’s made, as the beverage I have influences my day. Entering Costa, I was greeted with a smile and immediately felt a genuine warmth from a gentleman by the name of Keron. I told him the specifics of my beverage and he also gave me recommendations to go for a combo which I did. The mocha was made to perfection and the milk was steamed to the right temperature and texture. The muffin was alright.
