I'm from out of town so I thought I couldn't go wrong going to Burnley weatherspoons and ordering what is familiar to me. Or so I thought! I ordered chicken tikka masala. The chicken wasn't tender. It was extremely hard, and very small chunks. Who do you have to pay 43p more for a garlic naan? I can buy two garlic naans in the supermarket for eighty pence which incidentally are twice the size and are proper naans. Not microwaved. The plain naan was so thin it turned to cardboard within five mins of arriving at the table. The rice portion was small and nowhere near capable of soaking up the amount of masala sauce on my plate which incidentally was trying to hide the measly six small pieces of chicken I got. I could make this meal for about three pounds fifty. Yes I know, I'm dining out but the experience at Burnley I have to say was the worst I've experienced and I've been to weatherspoons all over the country. I won't be eating there again. Staff were nice but I wasn't asked if I enjoyed it when the staff came to take my plate away. Not a good experience at all. Burnley weatherspoons seems to be completely different to the ones I usually go in. I've never paid extra for garlic naan even though it is always dearer...

I mean, it's a Spoon's, you don't expect to be treated like royalty.. Had lunch here today with my 19yr old daughter. She ordered half a cider with her meal, via the app. Waiter brought it over, asked for her ID, and she realised with dismay that she didn't have it on her. Fair enough, no ID, no cider, her fault. She apologised. We expected that she wouldn't get the drink, but we didn't expect the waiter to mutely shoot her a filthy look, snatch the drink and flounce away extravagantly. Wow. She then found that she had a photo of her driving licence in her phone, so I took it over to flouncy pants on the off chance that he might accept it, just to be hissed at and told it was against the law and I wasn't going to get a refund. I didn't ask for a refund. I get it, you can't serve a drink without ID, but was there really the need for the rudeness and histrionics over a simple mistake? He then spent our time there flouncing past our table, shooting snarky looks. Fortunately my daughter had her back to him and didn't see. No need. Grow up. Go get a job in IT, where you don't have to...

This is a good Weatherspoons in the centre of Burnley Staff polite a good range of handpump beers on offer Good friendly clientele on my visit, not football day, though All beers on sale are competively priced Food was also well presented Sunday 18th August 2024 Today, I revisited this Burnley town centre, Weatherspoons This great locals pub had a great choice of guest real ales on offer. The pub has a large open plan room with a beer garden at its rear. The place has a calm, peaceful atmosphere inside and the staff were helpfull and knew there jobs Keep up the good work all involved with this pub Sunday 10th August 2025 Today I again had a great pint of real in this fantastic weatherspoons there was 7 hand puiied ales on 4 guest ales top quality a large spacious horse shoe interior with great locals and good bar staff this is one of Burnleys best...

Excellent to find a bustling ‘spoons in a northern town when everything else seems to be closing; most probably due to price point per unit but can’t knock the staff or people for the greedy ways of those at the top. Anyway— this establishment has continued to uphold my respect for everything that weatherspoons is and offers to its clientele. Some great casual dining in often cosy, warm settings inside some of the local architectural treasures. Some areas could do with a deeper clean more often, but this is more likely down to the managers being asked to cut the staff hours and expecting more from them. Amazed the food that can be offered at the times it does, great value for a family bite together or even a quick dinner with a few pre-drinks. Thankyou to all the weatherspoons staff, for all their hospitality nationwide.

Weatherapoons generally is what it is and that's great. We love a good spoons. Unfortunately on the day we visited it was a match day ... Again completely understandable and no problem with it being busy but there was no consideration for people visiting who are not part of the football clan. Anyone visiting with a pram or wheelchair. I am sure the way people were moving chairs around and blocking walk ways would not be considered as meeting health and safety or fire requirements. Not safe for the staff to get around with plates of hot food and an absolute nightmare who for people like ourselves visiting with a small child.

Came for a few drinks with my husband, brother in-law and his wife. Service was excellent, especially the lady with blond hair who came round selling raffle tickets but will the staff were great. We ordered two vegan sausage, chips and beans, a vegan Beyond fiesta burger and chicken curry. The food was excellent especially for the price, we could not fault our visit...will definitely revisit.
