Me and my partner decided to try little barista today for the first time as we have spoke about it in the past anytime we have walked past. I bought my partner a coffee from there which cost ÂŁ5.75 for what can only be described as a SMALL coffee. Not only that, we asked for vanilla in the coffee and after tasting it, there was possibly the tiniest amount of vanilla and it just tasted like a cold espresso. I went in and asked for more vanilla and one of the staff kindly helped me with this issue and it was resolved. As none of the food was to my liking I decided to go the chicken shop which is practically next door for my dinner whilst my partner sat and drank her coffee outside the premises. When I came back, I sat with my partner and started eating my dinner. A minute later a man came out who I can only guess was the owner and proceeded to call me and my partner disrespectful for eating the food there as they also sell food. I understand these rules may be in place to not eat at another establishment. However, as mentioned above, I paid over ÂŁ5 for one tiny coffee (which wasnât even what I asked for) and I do not expect to be met with such hostility as a paying customer. With that being said, I will be taking my custom elsewhere and highly recommend other people do the same as there are many other coffee shops in Burnley which offer much better coffee AND SERVICE than this embarrassing establishment but from what I have already seen in past reviews, this has been a problem of the owners for quite some time. Bad Attitude is all that can be said for the way he treats his customers. Next time get yourself to The Coffee House or Cosy Coffee as you will be treated a lot better at those places. Itâs no wonder all the staff look terrified...
Read moreThis is our usual coffee shop to meet up for a spot of lunch or a coffee date, never had an issue before. But had the worst experience due to the very rude and unprofessional worker called Andrea. Paid for my sandwich and drink. Waited patiently for it for 20 or more minutes (whilst the two I went with were eating) to be then told by Andrea her colleague had given it away. No apology offered initially. What would you like me to do she says? I said I would like you to stop speaking to me like this, which caused her to become aggressive in her tone and confrontational. Patrick was so kind and helped resolved the matter after I was given 5 minutes by Andrea to make a decision or leave the shop, either choose another sandwich or get a refund. The refund was like she was doing me a favour (forgetting that I had already paid for the sandwich and I had not receive it, so by right I was due the refund). Felt very threatened by her attitude for a coffee shop that is over friendly at times, she definitely let's the side down. She said they are not perfect. Nobody says to be perfect but please accept your mistakes, make the customer feel valued and don't patronise or threaten the customer and tell them not to return to the shop again, when they confide in you that the experience today has put them off coming. Yes you said you were short staff, but does that give you the right to speak and treat me the way you did? Just because you are unable to manage and deal with the pressure the job involves? I teach my kids if you can't be anything be kind, maybe someone needs to tell Andrea this. Thank you so much to Patrick for treating me with respect and being very kind and conseriderate, for giving me the refund and for the coffee...
Read moreFantastic place, decor is really vibrant and sets the mood perfectly for a coffee place, Me and my partner dined outside as it was a warmer day and the backdrop of jazz music playing in the background as I tuck into a hot coffee is just perfection in every way to me. Me and my fiancÊe ordered a few things off their expansive menu, was slightly overwhelming at first but I knew exactly what I wanted when I saw it, I ordered one of their speciality coffees a Flamed Caramel Hazelnut Latte and to go with it it, I ordered a Jamaican Jerk Chicken Panini, my partner ordered a sticky toffee frappe and a bbq panini, for desert we ordered a slice of Malteser cake with cream. The overall waiting time was around 10 minutes which was fine, I could see they were really busy and it was worth the wait entirely, My coffee came out in a sort of crumpled plastic cup design which threw me off at first until I realised that it fits perfectly with the theme of creme brulee coffee, my partners coffee came out with a straw in a glass bottle with a flake and cream on top, the coffee was delicious and was just as sweet as I expected. Our food arrived shortly after in these lovely wooden box designs and came with a portion of sour cream dipping sauce which was made out of blended apples, chilli flakes and onion and was an absolute delight to go with our hot panini's.
Dessert was really good too, a nice helping of cake with powered sugar and cream which was really nice.
Overall both of our expectations were completely blown away, in terms of presentation and taste and for that I give this place a lovely 5/5 would 100% recommend.
P.s they do serve vegan food and coffee, along with...
