The Swan — Restaurant in Burnley

What an absolute joke of a pub, called in for a drink after going to the theatre, sat having a nice conversation to be told pub is closing despite no notification, we finished our drinks despite threats from bar staff and accomplices and told we were barred despite being respectful and following orders from bar staff who were threatening and rude….will never venture in this establishment again and wouldn’t recommend anyone else visiting appalling service….Pub deserves to be closed permanently if that is how they treat customers….never want to see a business close but tonight they deserve to be shut permanent….absolutely awful service hope you get treated as you served tonight and you will know...

Visited this pub following the Burnley game and went to the bar for a drink, young girl with blonde hair IDed me and I handed them my Irish passport card. After inspecting it for a few minutes, they said they cannot accept a non-UK form of ID, clearly blatant discrimination. In my 5 years in England I have never, ever had a problem with this form of ID. The most concerning aspect of this is I wasn’t offered to provide an alternative, which I did have on me, writing this review so this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Awful place. At the bar I dropped some money bent down to pick it up and was given a load of verbal abuse by a very wrinkled prune that somehow passes for a woman for picking it up .Didn't get any better in the beer garden where dogs were running loose and the most unfriendliest of people were drinking. My mate also put money in the jukebox which was turned off after 1 tune because the DJ was on. He complained and got no money back. Wouldn't come back here if the beer was...
