I recently had the pleasure of dining at 8 Manchester, an excellent Chinese restaurant that completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this establishment prided itself on providing a top-notch dining experience.
One of the standout aspects of 8 Manchester was the emphasis on fresh ingredients. Every dish we tasted was bursting with flavour and showcased the quality of the ingredients used. It was evident that they put a lot of care and attention into sourcing the best produce.
The flavours of the dishes were truly fantastic. Each bite was a delightful explosion of taste, with perfectly balanced combinations of spices and seasonings. It was evident that the chefs at 8 Manchester were skilled in creating authentic and mouthwatering Chinese cuisine.
The staff at 8 Manchester played a significant role in making our experience memorable. They were incredibly helpful and friendly, providing attentive service throughout our meal. Their warm and welcoming nature added to the overall ambience of the restaurant.
I must mention the "interestingly fun" Buda beer that we tried during our visit. It added a unique touch to the dining experience, and we enjoyed sipping on this refreshing beverage while indulging in the delicious food.
Without a doubt, the exceptional service truly sets 8 Manchester apart. From the moment we arrived, we felt well taken care of. The staff's attention to detail and dedication to ensuring an enjoyable time for their guests truly made the difference.

Read moreAs a setting for a meal this place is really cool and well presented. It looks like it might have been an ex bank. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and very attentive, they couldn't do enough. The food we ordered was really great quality and very tasty. Portion sizes were really good too. But, and there's a but. The prices here are pretty high for what you're ordering. At the end of the day Chinese food is not particularly taxing dishes to prepare or cater for so to charge the prices they do is the only reason I won't be coming back here again. 3 of us dined and we had chicken and sweet corn soup, salt and pepper chicken wings, salt and pepper chicken pieces. Beef in black bean sauce, sweet and sour chicken and some chicken noodle dish. 1 x boiled rice 1 x egg fried rice. 2 x profiteroles and a chocolate brownie. 1 x coke. 1 x strawberry daiquiri (non alcoholic) and a bottle of beer. The bill came to £90. I could have got the same from my local takeaway for about 30 quid and I've had the same dishes from the takeaway which taste very similar. Sorry 8 but this chap...
Read moreIts a nice place but I've been twice and it always feels like they're in a hurry. Our booking was for 6pm, arrived a few minutes before that, perfect!, shown to a table and before I've taken off my jacket, the waiter is already putting menus down in the places at one minute past 6 we were asked what drinks we wanted and aless than 5 minutes later , were we ready to order? (no). When we did order, the waiter was finishing my wife's sentences and it all feels a bit rushed for me , took a look around and it was little more than half capacity so I wouldn't like to go when its at full tilt because they presumably serve the food with a catapult. One saving grace was that a younger waitress took the time to explain to my 9yo son how they keep track of the orders, tables, bills etc as she heard him asking us - Nicely done. Apart from that, the food is decent enough, prices don't come as a shock, good location, car park over-subscribed however, I prefer to walk after parking a little...
