Big Six Inn, Halifax — Restaurant in Calderdale

The bar maid made the day. Well presented. Very attentive and had a good report with the locals. My first visit here for a long time. The beer garden was lovely and clearly had lots of time and effort spent on it. I did not have go inside once for a drink. I did use the toilet which was small but well labelled and smelt fresh and clean. Defo recommended. Nice...

What a place, in a row of terraced houses, if it wasn't for the lamp above the door you would miss it. Inside it is a multi-roomed pub with nice ales on hand pull. Very cosy with fires in each room (albeit vintage gas fires), and there is a games room with a dart board. We'll worth the 5 minute bus ride+5 minute walk from Halifax...

A wonderful find, a mid-terrace pub that straddles two back-to-back houses. Therefore it has entrances on both Horsfall and it's parallel neighbour. A lovely beer garden across the street adds charm and a great view of the nearby historic water tower. Great pub, good cask beers, and a friendly welcome....
