Dario's Pizza — Restaurant in Calderdale

I grew up in the halifax area and used to use Darios all the time growing up having fond memories along with sneaking out just to treat myself to a delicious Deep pan pizza from Darios chatting happily with a very friendly staff. After moving away and coming back after about twenty years Darios is still open a local takeaway having provided the community with its delicious recipes and selection of foods. Returning seeing that this once small business was thriving went in for a bite and was blown away the staff particularly Luko of the sowerby bridge branch was especially friendly and helpful talking about the takeaways history and recommending to try the pizza, ordered a mixed kebab and Darios 9" special and honestly I can see why I used to sneak out, the food was still insanely good mouth watering chicken and shish kebab with crisp fresh salad left me craving more, glad I bought the pizza too, and as I remember the deep crust pizza with its infusion of flavours was second to non so glad I went in and worth to have been open for 35 years thank you Luko for the food, drink pleasant conversation and hospitality. Spent £41 including delivery and we were unfortunately disappointed. Delivered about 20/30 minutes late but I'm not too bothered about that. Pizzas bases were rather dry, especially the crusts and there was too much cheaper cheddar and not enough of the more expensive mozzarella. The mushrooms were in an oil, not cream like advertised. The garlic knots were OK but the dough was stodgy as they were surrounded by 2 inches of cheese in a tray. Seemed super generous at first but not very enjoyable with the stodge. Finally, the kebab was absolutely brilliant! Perfectly cooked meat but I added extras (meat, veg and an extra pitta) which made the kebab around £10 alone and for that price, the portion size was a bit small. All in all. Shocking delivery service. Took two hours to arrive cold and all they say is it happens all the time you can have your money back if we pick up the pizza. Joke of a business and staff with no idea

I have just seen your response. Which is a further example of your poor service. Your offer was basically a refund or eat the cold food. No apology at all. I chose to get a refund and you pick up the cold food. It seems your driver who you earlier could not get hold of lied to you as no one returned to my house. I may have missed one call from you but that was an unknown number when I was putting my hungry and tired child to bed. Your response is poor and ill advised as it simply demonstrates your lack of awareness of customer service. I shall not be using your services again.
