Mamil Cafe Bar — Restaurant in Calderdale

Very disappointed this morning when we had our breakfast, was really looking forward to it after visiting here before and really enjoying the food and service. I stood at the bar to order our food, whilst a lady who was obviously busy making coffees and a waitress who was delivering them, I was there quite sometime which is never a problem but no acknowledgement was made, to be acknowledged and to be told hello we won’t be long we are just very busy would of been great as this is what I would say to my customers.. just keep them in the loop and they will understand. Eventually got served and ordered, all good! We noticed our food was ready and the chef kept dinging his bell! No one came for it and was under the pass for a very long time.. again probably understaffed or busy. The food eventually got to us and was pretty terrible .. my poached eggs were overcooked and hard, I litterally could not get my knife through my bacon it was inedible, the beans were stone cold and the rest of it was like warm if that. My partner’s fried eggs were burnt on the bottom and he beat her could eat his bacon and food wasn’t warm enough.my partner went to the bar as there was no check back to see if our food was ok and explained our issue, the lady apologised and said we would cook more eggs and bacon .. this obviously took sometime but when they brought us it the bacon looked raw! We didn’t eat it .. it was inedible. The lady did apologise and offer us a drink however we didn’t want another drink but I’m still reeling that we paid what we did for a breakfast that was awful. Hope this place goes back to its usual standard soon cause we loved going but Will probably give it a wide berth now....

You know what they say about first impressions, well our first visit will probably be our last. I ordered our coffee at the counter & paid with a £10 note, the price came to £5.65, the change I received was £2.35, so I questioned the shortfall but the waitress still couldn't fathom it out so I had to help her out. Sat down & waited & waited so coming up to 15 minutes & seeing that the waitress wasn't even doing anything I went to ask her where our coffee was, she looked at me like ide come from Mars, her excuse was she couldn't find our order though it was she that served me. When the coffee did arrive it was not what I ordered, I ordered a Latte, this was a very strong coffee in a cup where normally a Latte comes in a glass. I asked the waitress why it was so strong she said she had put 2 shots in & next time you visit just ask for one, so why didn't she ask us first of all if we wanted one or two. My wife left her coffee, it's a shame as it's such a nice place, maybe it was just this one waitress who was having a bad day, so maybe they deserve a...

All companies should have some honour. This 1 does not

I hope people i know who visit here or believe the lies 1 member of staff started to protect her friend who i was asked to go in to look after on multiple occasions and one of the owners trusted me with her own daughter!

Then i was told by the wifes husbund after 1 very young and attractive girl said i did wrong by there daughter i was barred by the owners, this was lied to to locals sayin i decided not to enter after the issues.

Now after mamil openinh i halffax i have been asked by 2 bars so far why the rumours from mamil and norwood geeen are spreading.

Do as you wish but i hope you have a better exeriance than me i Mamil bar!

Either way i hope this company will soon be ruined if truth and honesty means anything! I gave them chances to stop there slander in brighouse, Halifax and norwood green but they wont, as they dont care who they screw over even after telling some1 there...
