Was there to celebrate a birthday. The food was lovely as always, although some changes to the service has left us disappointed. No butter was offered with the bread and we had to get our own cutlery and condiments. When the waitress brought our drinks over, she brought 2 standard drinks when I'd paid for a standard and a large. The waitress was lovely, apologised and brought us a large drink. Halfway through our meals, another waitress came up to me to speak to me about the drinks, pointing out they had come through as 2 standards on their till. That's fair enough, I showed her my email confirmation of the order, clearly showing I had paid for a large and she went on her way. The way she spoke to me was very patronising and assuming there was nothing wrong on their part. I didn't get an apology, just a "Well that's what it come through on our till". Mistakes happen, we are only human, but rudeness should not come into customer service. Not in a rush...

I'm not sure about the evening entertainment, but they know how to portion control.

Came for food and ordered sasauge and mash. I asked to swap my peas to mushy peas. They charged me 75p. Now, I was confused but nether the less, it was fine. Paid nearly £4 for chips.

When I say to you, I got a DOLLOP of mushy peas, I mean literally A DOLLOP. Probably just more than a dessert spoon full. I'd just paid for a WHOLE tin of mushy peas, and I got not even 1/3 of the tin.

The chips!!!? The chips!!! Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and the wee damn donkey would have been staaaaaaarving! A tiny bowl full that was just sh!t.

I don't usually complain, but if I wasn't as hungover as I was.. I would have 😂 I mean, the sasauge and mash was drive, they give me a smidge of gravy too so that was a bonus!

Overall, I wouldn't go back for food. The tables were sticky too, but the staff was lovely.

Maybe if I go back when I've lost a few lbs, they might feed...

Absolutely shocking customer service. I booked a table for myself and my 6 year old daughter for 7pm to have a meal. I arrived at the booked time and was 'Greeted' by a young girl called Amy (who told me she was the manager) she abruptly told me that children aren't allowed after 7pm (even though it mentions on the website that children are allowed before 8pm), no hello, good evening or do you have a booking. I mentioned that I had made an online booking which had asked me if there were any children in the party so I naturally assumed it would be ok. ' I don't make the rules' was the reply. When I showed her the booking on my phone she said she didn't know anything about it. Petulant body language and tone of voice was highly innapropriate. Gordon Ramsay would have a field day with this place!!!! Off to Miller's I go where the staff treat you with dignity and don't converse with you like a teenager who has just been told to tidy...

Popped in for some lunch and a couple of pints one Friday on the eve of the 1940's weekend and the FA Cup final. First time since the revamp and it's an impressive place. Was quiet when I first arrived, but started to get busy after lunch. Good menu and I like how they bundle up their meal deals in a similar way to a nearby competing pub. Good range of ales and food. Added to this, the gents toilets (always a good measure of how a pub is managed for me), are top notch and spotless! Had a chicken wrap which was very tasty. Out of curiosity - also went in the following day during the footy and the place was rammed. Too busy for me though. Will certainly be back the next time I'm out on the lash in Brighouse.

It’s pretty easy place to access or find it’s on the main road into brighouse with plenty of parking spaces on offer I would say with the make over it’s had was needed it’s added some freshness to the place . I have eaten at this venue on many occasions but this time I like to settle for the mixed grill with like fried or waffled looking chips which were very tasty in fact all the meat s were nicely cooked the meal waiting time was not long the place was full of adults & kids so a mixture of customers plus the service was very good no hassle so I would recommend if passing do drop in.

This place is lovely. Food was great and the drinks were good. The price for food was amazing and as you can see you get lots of it. The calder was clean and busy. The app was brilliant to order from. Quick service. Disappointed that one of our party for ID'd even though she looks older and drove there. Will visit again.
