Mum's House HX1 Cocktail Bar is a cozy and intimate cocktail bar located in the heart of Halifax. The bar has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with exposed brick walls and a mix of modern and vintage furniture. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they are always happy to recommend a cocktail or two.
The cocktail menu at Mum's House is extensive, with something for everyone. There are classic cocktails, such as the Old Fashioned and the Margarita, as well as more creative cocktails, such as the Smoked Old Fashioned and the Strawberry Daiquiri with Balsamic Reduction. The bar also has a good selection of beers on tap, as well as a wide variety of wines.
I recently visited Mum's House with some friends, and we all had a great time. We started with the Smoked Old Fashioned, which was delicious. The cocktail was smoky and flavorful, and it was the perfect way to start the evening. For our main course, we shared the Charcuterie Board, which was excellent. The board was filled with a variety of meats, cheeses, and fruits, and it was the perfect way to nosh while we enjoyed our cocktails.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Mum's House HX1 Cocktail Bar. The food was delicious, the cocktails were creative and well-made, and the service was excellent. We would definitely recommend Mum's House to anyone looking for a great cocktail...
Read moreCocktails pictured are the Fruit Salad, Rum Punch and Pineapple (half drunken already) Daiquiri - we also had Black Cherry Daiquiris, a spirit and mixer each, Cherry & Ting. How many of each? Haven’t a clue… but I know we enjoyed each one! They were accommodating on changes when we asked for less lime on the daiquiris.
At any other bar you are limited by how slow they make the drinks - not here. Before I’d even put my glass down after finishing a drink, they’d be calling out to me to ask what I wanted next. This was even while they had a group of 8+ people behind us and possibly a party on upstairs.
Drinks were fantastic, pizza came at just the right time to soak up said drinks, service from Andy and Jess was amazing - I’d say this is my new favourite bottomless brunch place and we will be darkening your...
Read moreWhat a fantastic find! We discovered Mum’s House by chance last night while walking into Halifax town centre.
Friendly staff, quirky decor, and great seating options: inside near the bar, in the heated outdoor section towards the back, or in the beautiful, quieter upstairs section with comfy sofas and chairs.
Furthermore, the cocktails here are really good and are good value - 2 for £14. You’ll be paying a lot more for cocktails in bars closer, or within, the Piece Hall.
It’s also an LGBT friendly bar, which is great. The drink selection here is far better than any of the other LGBT bars in Halifax. In addition, the music inside the venue isn’t blaring, which makes the experience far better for neurodivergent people.
So please come and support Mum’s House - it’s a...
