The Lewins — Restaurant in Calderdale

My visit to Lewins will stay with me forever 26/11-22, late on I approached the DJ and asked for a song it was Karaoke. I was declined so returned to my seat, the next thing I knew I was being man handled out of the premises by security. I had to challenge the female security on the door step, as I had none of my belongings with me, so no way of getting home safely or letting my daughter know I was outside. The security lady finally, asked for my daughters name. As I had pointed out to her several times I needed my belongings. Once she asked my daughters name I was relieved and thought that was the end of the incident, what happened next left me with cracked ribs, not being able to drive and luckily working from home. The lady security lowered her arms to hip level, and pushed me down the stone steps. The Lewins have looked into the CCTV footage, and unfortunately this cannot be evidenced? There were 2 guys outside one who helped me up, but neither of the saw what happened? I have had feedback from Lewins and they feel the DJ felt intimidated so called security really? I’m 5ft 3 and had returned to my seat and was sat quietly. I have no reason to lie and have not involved the police, I am simply making people aware. I’m sorry the DJ felt intimidated? But I didn’t deserve cracked ribs, had the security lady given me my belongings I wouldn’t have had to challenge her, and would have left safely. Pushing a member of the public down stone steps can be lethal, I was lucky I have read story’s where people have died as a result. Please take care if you visit, as I really wouldn’t want anyone else to get hurt in this way. Thank you for your response Lewins it’s sad you didn’t believe my version of events, and the guys outside the door didn’t see any thing? One question I have for you is why would you think I would lie??? I don’t go out much but will be extremely vigilant of venue in future if at all thank you for reading...

Visited here Saturday night with a good mate. Sat outside at the back, a local arrived and sat down intimidating me, stole my drink and had a drink. He knocked it to the floor and over my trousers, I walked off. I spoke to security before leaving. My friend came out shortly afterwards and told me that this guy, known to the staff had started on him. Security was told that nothing happened by the witnesses around us, they didn't step in either. Totally unprovoked attack. They left it, with no action. We won't be going back to this place, if you want a quiet drink here forget it. Especially on Saturday night. Tonight I watched a young tattooed male door staff eject 3 old people rather than deal with another young aggressive and abuse guy at the bar, The door man was made aware of this person but cowardly chose to turn his back and send old men out of the bar . I won't go drinking there again as I didn't feel safe. Others in the bar were aware ot the other aggressive guy and we could not believe the door staff turned a blind eye. Disgraceful or just a cowardly door...
