196 cocktail bar — Restaurant in Cambridge

Don't reccomend if you need glasses. Light is very dark, we had to get our phone torches out to see the menu and the unclear writing style just gave me a heache as a strain my eyes to try to order.

Very small and I was shocked that they did not take covid regulations seriously!! No masks on the staff and no social distancing (I could feel the persons next to me breath🤢) . Made me feel really anxious and uncomfortable

Luckly the waitress gave me a concised recommendation. But when I tasted it was unbelievably sour it made me sick and when they redid it to make it less sour it was way too sweet and sickly.

Over the last years unfortunately the quality has decreased, this place is still successful only because does have no competitors. 2 out of 3 cocktails I ordered were really unbalanced: you need to put an effort to make a wrong old fashion. The menus are the same of 3 years ago, overridden with some paper patches stained and dirty, it makes difficult to read properly the cocktail list and their prices. We ordered some nibbles, paid 6£ for a 3 cm slice of Tesco’s tortillas and 12£ for a plate of charcuterie where the chorizo and salami were so thin u could see through. The waiter spilled twice the cocktails over the table and on my bag, he didn’t even dry and clean after the mess but we were charged...

Had a great time at this cocktail bar even though everything closes at 10pm atm :( Staff was really friendly and cocktails arrived quickly. Some of the cocktails were VERY strong, but I personally prefer them that way. I’m sure staff would be more than happy to recommend drinks that aren’t as strong or make the drinks less strong if you’re not a fan. The only thing - I think this bar would benefit from an online booking service, even though bookings aren’t actually required to visit - just because it is very small and cosy and I get quite anxious calling people’s personal numbers to make a...
