Zidan’s Piri Piri — Restaurant in Cambridge

We visited Cambridge for a staycation and this was one of the resturants we selected as it had such high reviews.

We went after Friday prayer during half term. I can understand it being very busy but nothing was put in place to manage this kind of rush.

We waited between 50 mins to an hour for our food. All we ordered was the whole chicken meal deal and a smash burger. Food was nice but deffinatly not worth the wait.

It was chaos. There was no system. The seating was packed so we chose take out and would eat in our hotel.

No staff warning customers of the long wait. They were still accepting orders on their website although not able to get orders out in person in the returant. And happily taking orders of new customers arriving. I also witnessed a delivery of sauces arrive.

This could have been a out of the ordinary day but that's why I mentioned there are no systems in place to deal with this.

There was no apology and no compensation for the wait.

I would have loved to have given a higher rating especially supporting a Muslim business but I was soo disappointed. It's been over a week and I still can't belive the service and mediocrity of the food.

Online orders could have easily been suspended. You should have been advising customers of the wait when they arrived.

Your staff were swamped and I my opinion did not know how to handle this kind of situation. The building was also boiling.

My husband was very unhappy waiting inside and my young daughter was drained and hangry although I took her for some short walks to keep her busy. I would say this resturant was the worst part of our stay in Cambridge.

I recently dined at zidan’s piri piri on mill road Cambridge , and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Friendly, attentive, and always smiling — their service was impeccable from start to finish.

I recently visited Zidan's Piri Piri Restaurant and was thoroughly impressed! The Menu is rich with lots of options. I tried the Gourmet Double Smash Burger, made with two freshly grilled angus beef patties, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and their special burger sauce – and it was absolutely delicious. The burger was juicy, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. I also had the Piri Piri Herb Chips, which were absloutly delicous, well-seasoned, and complemented the burger beautifully. There was a great variety of drinks to choose from, which added to the overall experience.

The restaurant itself was spotlessly clean, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit even more enjoyable. Cleanliness and hygiene are top standard in Zidan's Piri Piri , you can spot that once you walk in, the staff handling the food are all wearing gloves and the food is cooked in open kitchen.
