The Castle Bar — Restaurant in Cambridge

Me and my cousin stayed here Saturday night we went to afew pubs in town then came back here to finish out night. This was by far the best place in town we went all night the music, the atmosphere, the bar staff was so good. We really enjoyed ourselves. I would like to make a massive mention to the door men they were so alert and handled situations with calmness and respect. A special thank you goes to John the door man we had a issue with 2 elder men that would not leave us alone for the last couple hours of the night John noticed this and we spoke to him as we felt uncomfortable. John assured us he would keep his eye on them and he did as soon as they came near John was there moving us safely and discreetly away fro them. But this got to much and the pub was closing soon so we decided to just go up and to our room, John escorted us up the stairs to make sure we got there safely and the men did not follow us. So I would like to say a big thank you to you John as I was feeling anxious about this and you made me feel safe. Had a very poor experience. Myself and three friends went in to cure our hangovers with a nice fry up. We ordered two coffees. The latte wasn't made right and both were cold. We were the only customers there for our entire visit and the food took still 40 minutes, and even then our meals came out at different times. They have these terrible flat plates that I imagine work great with pizza but we're talking round sausages. Not a good plan and very hard to manage. We had three separate occasions with seeing our food hit the floor while it was being delivered. Two sausages and one beans hit the floor. Our waiter was nice enough but clearly hung over too. In fairness the place looked good and was clean. Still don't plan on going...

Worst B&B, NOT in my entire life I could ever imagine there are bar and dancing floor with loudest noise located in the B&B. Only reason I pay a place to stay, so I can get good rest. Even tho I was on top floor, the music just penetrated through the whole building. Only question, what on earth would people incorporate B&B and dancing club.

But only 1 things I was quite glad is at least they do have a decent standard of hygiene. Room generally clean, not enough light in the room, shared bathroom also looks well managed.

Definitely not a choice for stay!!!!! Especially when you have exam...
