My partner and I visited the pub early evening with the intent of having a few drinks and ordering some food. We had not long picked up a coffee from Mc Donald's which my partner was carrying in her hand quite clearly when we entered the pub and placed an order for a pint of San Miguel at the bar. We were served by the barmaid whilst the Manager (who was leaning against the bar on the far side) looked on. After we had paid for the drink and sat down the barmaid approached us and advised my partner that she could not drink the remainder of her coffee on the premises. When we explained that the coffee cup was almost empty the barmaid said that the manager had told her to tell us that the coffee could not be consumed. Needless to say we finished our drinks and advised the manager that we would not be visiting this establishment again. It's a pity that the manager was so petty and short sighted because not only did he lose our custom for the rest of that evening, but we we will certainly not be spending our money at this pub whilst he is in charge. Very poor.
