The Tavern In The Town Rugeley — Restaurant in Cannock Chase

So I am updating my review! We frequent this delightful small bar and restuarant, firstly because Sue (chef) Baz (bar person extraordinaire) Amy ( the amazingly talented manager) Secondly the drinks are fresh and perfectly served ! Now let's do the Food, my taste buds have just landed them selves the perfect date, chicken flatbreads with the most amazing marmalade and Harris balanced with minted yogurt with just the right amount of cherry tomatoes and rocket to make the whole thing POP.... and I mean POP, perfection in balancing sweet, fragrance with a touch of spice ...... I wanted more ... but let me continue ....Goats cheese honey and walnuts Crostini ... mind blown at how this simple dish is and how you can make simple ingredients buzz and sing I will finish with thank you for making my taste buds sing my mind boggle and a lovely relaxing night ... if you have not done this...

Went in for a family meal on a Friday evening all 10 of us all seated comfortably and the service was top notch. We all had individual tabs for each couple which made paying super easy. The food was also incredibly tasty. Reading the menu I was like “not interested in the hummus or the prawn rice they sound boring” but my wife had both and I tried them - absolutely delicious. I had the lamb and pork tacos which were divine as well didn’t manage to get a photo of the lamb as I ate it too quickly! Top notch night out. Thanks...

We went to The Tavern last night and had an absolute fabulous night from start to finish.The decor in the restaurant is beautiful..the staff were so friendly and the food was Amazing! They had a band called The Second Beginning and they sang and we danced the night away. Cannot wait to come back to Rugeley and visit The Tavern again. Joanne Brittain...
