The place looked nice, with seats in an air conditioned area inside and tables outside in a garden area. We were seated swiftly. The service, all in all was friendly and polite. Three of us had a three course meal, we spent about £106.00 appetizers were a collection hummus falafel salad, bread, and sausage. We had 2 mixed grills and halloumi salad, then two baklava 2 drinks and Turkish coffee. The strange part is that we were served by many people, one person seated us, another took the order, another delivered the appetizers, another delivered the main meal, and someone else delivered the desserts... we must have been served by 6 people.. however, there was one young bearded man that delivered the best service out of all of them, he uniform was smart, he was polite, confident, it felt like he was comfortable doing his job with ease.. I had a hard time catching his name, but I believe his name was Jewler. It's a shame I didnt have enough cash to leave him a decent tip, however he deserved more that I left him. The restaurant is great, and if all staff carried themselves like Jewler, the operation would run much more smoothly and tables would turn faster. The rest of staff were nice too, but something seems to be missing, maybe lack of good management, resulting in lack of confidence maybe.. I did not focus much, as the food was great. I must also point out that the baklava was amazing, it was spot on with an ice cream scoop in the middle. Thank you for having us, and thank you for having someone...

I have been a loyal patron of A la Turka, often recommending it to friends and family, especially praising the exceptional service at the Herne Bay branch. However, my recent visit to the Ramsgate location left me extremely disappointed.
I've visited Ramsgate several times since its opening, consistently hoping for an improved experience. Regrettably, it has never met the standards I expect from Ala Turk. I had originally chosen this location to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday, but the experience was far from celebratory.
Upon arrival, we were met with an unsettling scene: four or five waitresses casually standing around, seemingly oblivious to our presence. It took over 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, and we had to summon a waiter just to place our drink order. The same frustrating process repeated itself when we attempted to order starters. After enduring poor service for so long, we ultimately decided to leave without ordering our mains.
It's disheartening to see this branch tarnish the reputation of a restaurant known for its quality. I've provided feedback in the past regarding the service issues, but it seems there has been no improvement or management oversight to address them.
If youāre considering a visit to A la Turka, I highly recommend opting for the Herne Bay or Canterbury locations instead. Ramsgate simply does...

We came with my husband and two children to enjoy Easter Monday dinner. It took a server around 15min to figure out where to sit us ( while we were standing literally in the doors). She was checking some book for seemed to be eternity ( we all know she was just pretending as didnāt know what to do waiting for someone to come and help her instead of going to ask for help immediately). Finally I suppose a manager came and sat us ( restaurant half empty). Servers were passing us and ignoring us. after good 10 min after being sitted we finally managed to bring attention of a waiter. Waiting for drinks was really long, we got them minutes before our meze that came without bread ( we were supposed to eat with fingers?) and then another 15-20min wait for bread. That came with aftertaste of fish. For the time of waiting we were observing the stuff. I need to say that whole stuff hiding and pretending to read bookings behind the fridge while there is 7 plates on the pass waiting to be served is highly unprofessional. Menagers hiding from customers and pretending to be too busy collecting dirty glasses from the tables to notice and serve customers must be a joke. Food is average, for this prices we were expecting something more than hard and dried chicken, bulgur and 2 wedges of tomatoe (Ā£18,95). Even in London you wont see that prices for average food and awful, just...
