What a lovely old pub situated opposite the clock tower on Herne Bay sea front. We have used this pub many times over the years and found this pub homely and friendly. Very characteristic pub, directly in front of the seaside. Went there for a music night and the group was very good! Full of friendly people that enjoyed the music. The pub have a very nice style, with a great story behind. I suggest to stop for a second to read the story, on the external wall of the pub, just right to the entrance, as it's a piece of local history. It was very nice to discover it and can't wait to...

Popped into this place obr afternoon as liked the music I could hear, unfortunately only stayed for one drink, Shame because the pub is quirky and music was good, however wasn't made to feel welcome, no smiles or customer service, drunk loud customers playing pool & landlords or barstaff seemed to be joining in with them.
