Chicken Cottage Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Canterbury

I had purchased two Too Good To Go bags via the app, with the designated collection window between 1:00 AM and 1:30 AM. My friend and I arrived at the restaurant within this time frame. Upon arrival, we were informed by a staff member to wait a short while as the order would be prepared shortly.However, after approximately 10 minutes of waiting, more customers entered the restaurant and began placing regular orders. Shortly after, the staff member told us that there was no food left to fulfil our Too Good To Go order. What made the situation worse was the dismissive and unprofessional manner in which this was communicated — the staff member laughed and told us we would simply get a refund through the app, without offering an apology or any form of accountability. This experience was frustrating and disappointing. We had followed all instructions, arrived on time, and waited patiently — only to be turned away unfairly, while others were being served. Expensive and hit or miss. Delivery is guaranteed to take ages. Servers sometimes take a long time to come to the counter from the back when ordering in person. Chicken wings are nice and spicy, all mini drums no flats (drumettes) and an ok size, little on the smaller side. The drumsticks are consistently great from here but the other cuts can be dry, I assume because they sit under the food lamp for too long as drums are the most popular cut. Thighs can be very thin also, to the point of looking more like a schnitzel. Depending on the day it can all be dry. Fries are crispy but don't come with salt, which is fine because of the salty/spicy chicken wings. Drink selection in store is good, but online only have expensive cans. Interior is good because the store is new, but the sink is often broken. Probably on par with KFC, just a bit different. good things- the veggie burger and the bbq wings are soooo delicious. Bad things- Even though they normally serve fresh, a few times they have not been fresh e.g. spicy wings. they have frequently messed up orders e.g. wrong drink, missing the drink, missing wings. this is bad because it cheats me of my money. also, when I ordered from here as delivery, they kept telling me to call back later because they were busy. they took my order after calling back 3 times. the delivery arrived 1 and a 1/2 hours later which is terrible :(

so yeah, most times the food is very good. especially if you eat in, then you are most likely going to get fast and fresh. but unfortunately the service is sometimes bad.
