âStraight outta Canterbury, a crazy burger spot called Notorious BRG, where the patties are juicy and the fries are hot. Itâs like they told us, âIt was all a dream, I used to read Word Up! magazineâ because the burgers here are legendary.
When you walk in, you might feel like Biggie, âsippin' on Private Stock,â because the vibe is chill and the drinks are on point. Their âNotorious B.R.Gâ burger had me thinking, âI got 99 problems but a burger ainât oneââthe flavors are on another level. And letâs not forget the âEl Pollo,â bringing that âflavor in your earâ with every bite.
The menu is stacked like a Wu-Tang Clan albumâsomething for everyone. From the âNotorious V.E.Gâ for the plant-based crew to the mac and cheese thatâs âhotter than a pepper sprout,â youâll be rapping along with Run-D.M.C., âItâs like that, and thatâs the way it is.â
If youâre feeling adventurous, dive into the âchili cheese friesâ because âcash rules everything around me, C.R.E.A.M., get the moneyââand these fries are worth every penny. So head on down to Castle Street and treat yourself to a culinary experience thatâll have you saying, âNow Iâm in the limelight âcause I rhyme tight, time to get paid, blow up like the World Trade.â
To sum it up, Notorious BRG is a âhip-hop hooray, ho, hey, ho,â a place where every meal is a hit, and youâll be back...
Read moreWent here for burger and chips, and was pleasantly surprised. When you walk into the little hole in the wall, it is very small and cosy, enough for 7 if you sit shoulder to shoulder.
The service was fab, with the woman taking our order, and having everything ready in about 10 minutes, and it was all delicious.
We tried the standard burger which was excellent, tender and juicy meat and seasoned well with great flavour. I also had the La Primera, which was Mexican inspired. It had a circular tortilla chip inside, and other Mexican seasonings and Salsa. This tasted great but to be honest, the flavour of all the seasonings were so overpowering that the meat flavour didn't come out as strongly.
What really blew us away though was the cheese and bacon fries! Wow! They tasted incredible, and were the perfect texture, very crunchy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. They were extremely moreish. If I lived closeby, I would taken these weekly.
When I'm back in Canterbury, I'd love to come back to try everything else on the menu. ...
Read moreWhen I called to place my order, the guy who answered was clearly busy and had other customers in front of him who he chose to prioritise over me. Making me wait to take their order first. Terrible start.
I decided I'd continue.. I was hungry..
Wasn't impressed, P.I.G burger was "pretty good" SUPPOSEDLY ÂŁ8.50.. The Chips loaded with chilli sauce and cheese tasted like they had a ton of MSG/Salt in and no discernible cheese, SUPPOSEDLY ÂŁ4.50 and a coke ÂŁ2 my calculations that's ÂŁ15.
Upon arrival at the place to pick up my order, they charged me ÂŁ18.50 for my burger and chips and Coke.
Must be another case of customers uploading an old menu. Unfortunately the restaurant doesn't seem to have any prices anywhere until you come to pay. A dishonest practise that seems to be gaining popularity. Clearly by the menus available to me on here, it should have been ÂŁ15. Had to eat the loaded fries with my hands as they didn't supply a fork or any takeaway cutlery or napkins for that matter. I won't...
