The Kitchen @ Whitstable is a gorgeous little cafe right in the centre of a beautiful town.

The food is simply sublime, we both went for the best bacon butty and it didn't disappoint. The server gave us a choice of white or brown bread alongside sauce. The bacon was crispy and cooked to perfection. There was lots more bacon in the butty than expected.

My partner purchased a Cappuccino and I had a Latte, the coffee was very tasty and was a great temperature on arrival.

We also shared a slice of victoria sponge cake, the cake was simply fantastic. Soft, moist and freshly baked. The jam and buttercream inside were fresh and tasty.

The server was very attentive and friendly, with fast and efficient service.

The café itself is small but has plenty of tables with good spacing between them so you don't feel cramped. We loved the side wall where you can sign your name. Such a lovely touch.

The Kitchen is well worth the visit and we'll definitely...

I've been to Specsavers needed some food, thought i would give the Kitchen a try as visited most others in the high street. Ordered a bacon sandwich on brown received white. Beans on white toast and an Iced coffee. The beans were nice and hot good portion. Bacon was nice and crispy, cold, not hot as the spread hadn't melted. Iced coffee good. Finished that and fancied something else, so I opted for the scioche as I had never seen one before. Was offered cream and jam, which I declined, opting for just butter. This came warm and was ok. Needed the toilet supprised to find the waste bin overflowing. I was there an hour and only just before I was leaving there was a que forming. But a few people used the toilet without eating or drinking. Will be back with my sister as she loves a...

I usually go here and purchase items for takeaway, in recent months it has been quiet when I’ve visited and often only the only person there. I visited again this Sunday, it was busy inside the cafe with an advertising board was placed in front of the door, which seemed strange. We walked around it and opened the cafe door to abruptly be told it was closed, no explanation and he immediately changed to closed. It was lunchtime and just inside, so we were surprised by this response. Whilst I appeciate it wasbusy due to the lovely weather, but as a local and a regular who has visited in quieter times, will not be returning again any time soon. Will also no longer be...

We popped into the Kitchen cafe today and enjoyed a lovely tea and cake. The outdoor seating area looks lovely and secluded. But what makes this place is the lovely staff. Clive took the time to come over and speak with us, he recognised the fact that my daughter was looking very sad ( our doggie had gone to heaven the day previous ). Upon knowing this Clive went out his way to cheer my little girl up and gave her a great big cuddle and free cake as we was leaving. Thankyou Clive you are a gentleman. We look forward to returning soon!
