Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Castle Point

I work in retail and I can tell you that I wouldn't employ either of the staff working today. The young man made us wait because he was waiting for other customers to choose from the fridge, even though he hadn't started serving them and could have easily put our panini on, made our drinks and taken our payment in the time we waited. So, after waiting, the other customers returned and it took both assistants to sort out their payment. In all we must have waited 7 or 8 minutes to be served. Then I waited for our panini. The other assistant prepared them on the plates, put them down next to the till and started to serve other customers, so I asked for them. This seemed to annoy her as she said she was going to bring them to us, I'm sure, but I was already fed up with waiting and wanted to get out of that place. I often go to a Costa when I'm out, but I've had enough of the attitudes of their staff, so I won't be any longer. Just popped in to Costa Coffee in Hadleigh, its probably the most expensive place to get a coffee and cake in the area and today the air conditioning was unbelievably cold in every corner of the shop. One of the staff emptied the bin right next to our table and proceeded to poke her backside right in our faces as we were trying to eat. That said, the toasties and paninis are delicious and the staff are polite and helpful. It's always clean and busy so I guess that shows it's a convenient place to pop in, quickly grab a bite to eat and they even have some complementary news papers to read. I had a wonderful experience at Costa Coffee in Hadleigh! The atmosphere is so welcoming and relaxed, which made it the perfect place to start my day. The two members of staff were incredibly friendly, and the lady making my coffee was especially warm and cheerful, which really made a difference first thing in the morning.
