This was my first visit to the hub, we often walk round the bike park but the cafe has not come into play. We had a good sandwich, a pretty poor sausage roll ( mushy inside, pale pastry outside) and a ridiculously boiling hot weak black coffee. It was busy when we were there but we found a table, unfortunately the floor was dirty and there were a few bits of food and a few chips around the floor too. I know its a cafe in a busy park but surely they could sweep the floor occasionally. Overall thought is i would go back, the staff were friendly enough, but i just think they could do better. Maybe we went on an offday or at a busy time but more effort is definitely required, maybe someone needs to manage the team...
Read moreToo expensive for a coffee, can only pay by debit card, perhaps they don't trust their staff...car park payment by card only, flipping nightmare trying to enter car registration took 15 minutes with a kind person offering to help...expensive to park there, not good for oap's would I go back with my car, no, would with my bike, no charge as yet for that I think, but hayho give them a week and they probably will charge entry for that as well...plenty of seating outside cafe....if I go again I will take my flask and a sandwich and on my bike no charge for that or is there ! Read moreAlways end up at the cafe after a ride around the Mountain bike track or nearby woods. Normally grab their coffee and pastry offer which is very reasonably priced. Sometimes the queues can be quite long but be patient as the staff are working their socks off to get you served. Proper bean to cup coffee too. Over the years I've been going here I've got to know a couple of the staff members and in particular, one of the managers Marie who is always welcoming and can't do enough for you.
