I recently took my kids to John Dory's Fish and Chips shop for a mid-week meal, and it was a delightful experience. The food was incredibly fresh, and it felt like a step above your regular chippy. The fish was perfectly battered and flaky, while the chips were golden and crispy, just the way they should be.
What really stood out was the dining experience. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, making it a great spot for families. The staff was friendly, and the service was efficient. They made dining in with kids a breeze.
John Dory's strikes a wonderful balance between the traditional charm of a fish and chips shop and a slightly more upscale dining experience. It's the ideal place for a mid-week family meal when you want something a bit special. We'll definitely be returning for more delicious fish...

Seriously though, the cod was lovely, a chunky bit of fish cooked to perfection and dining in we had salt and vinegar on the table to drown our meal in at our discretion. Turns out chip shops use a lot more than you think because I just kept adding and adding it ha.
This was enough between two and the menu has a lot of options, including various fritters and fish cakes. There are sweets too but we are not brave enough for a battered cookie dough!
Parking was tough on a Saturday night but be patient and something...
