On a recent trip from Phoenix, AZ to the UK, I had the delightful experience of visiting Kilo Wine Bar in Quorn. My initial visit was for brunch, where I enjoyed a perfectly prepared eggs benedict paired with a bottle of Burn Valley Bacchus 2023. The combination was absolutely incredible, setting a high bar for any future dining experiences.
The outstanding quality of food and wine was matched by the exceptional service provided by Callum, Josh, Neal, and Nick on my subsequent visits. Each team member brought their own flair to the experience, ensuring every visit was memorable and special. Their attentiveness and genuine passion for what they do made me feel welcomed and valued as a customer.
The ambiance of Kilo Wine Bar is both inviting and sophisticated, making it the perfect spot for both casual brunches and more intimate gatherings. The attention to detail in every aspect, from the carefully curated wine selection to the thoughtfully crafted menu, speaks volumes about their commitment to excellence.
I arrived home, arms laden with three carefully selected bottles of wine, each promising its own unique story and flavor profile. Accompanying these tasty treasures was a set of elegant red wine glassware, designed to enhance the tasting experience. These glasses aren't just ordinary; they are crafted to bring out the best in each wine, their delicate curves catching the light as I placed them gently on the table. The anticipation of sharing these moments with friends and loved ones filled me with excitement and warmth.
I am already looking forward to my next visit to the UK so I can return to Kilo Wine Bar. It's truly a gem that I will recommend to anyone...
Read moreWent for drinks and were informed we'd have to sit at the front of the bar. The seats were uncomfortable, so I asked the bartender if we could move. There was a free table and the bartender was happy for us to sit there. The owner - a small bald headed chap with a tattoo on his neck, pacing around the bar like a bull in a China shop, rudely muttered under his breath - turns out the table wasn't free.
Felt very uncomfortable - not just in the seating, but with the level of "service" from the owner. The bar staff were friendly enough, but they were disinterested.
Food menu looked good, and there was a variety of options for drinks too. Perhaps if one were to enter in a tuxedo, one would benefit from a more professional service, although this would be far from the presentation of the owner. Those in glass houses shouldn't...

A table in the wine room became available and my brother enquired if it was possible to sit at said table. Seemed to be a small altercation between the bar man and whom I can presume is the owner. We were eventually told we would be able to sit at said table, it would just take a few minutes. This never happened and they completely ignored the request. I get the feeling they are above their station and I have to say it felt rather uncomfortable. Have visited many times in the past but I doubt I’ll frequenting in the future. Shame as the...
