This is a fantastic restaurant, excelling at price, quantity, quality and service.
Price and quantity - this is a very reasonably priced Korean restaurant, particularly its bbq menu. I would recommend the bbq set menu - priced at a very reasonable £50 or so, however enough variety of meat items and a robust quantity to feed 3-4 people happily. I have paid far more in other Korean bbq restaurants for much less and of lesser quality. I would come back for this alone! We got the assorted meat bbq set - it came with kimchi jijae stew, rice, lettuce and garlic sides for the meat, and four different types of meat to be cooked (with very generous portions!), as well as a bottle of soju and a bottle of beer (for your soju bombs).
The rest of the menu is also very reasonably priced and with huge portions - the amount of food might be more than you realise! Another highly recommended dish is the Honey Butter fried chicken; deliciously sweet and garlicky and fried beautifully. In fact, any of the Korean fried chicken dishes are a must! We also got a kimchi fried rice - simple but a classic. It was very well seasoned and one of the nicest kimchi fried rices I’ve had.
The service here was impeccable and we felt very well attended to. It was a very busy day when we came, but the waitstaff were attentive and explained all the dishes well.
This is definitely a new favourite and we...
Read moreThis is a Korean restaurant that is far more delicious than expected! Generally, the quality of Korean restaurants you eat in the UK is average. The taste is roughly the same
But this restaurant, which is all run by Koreans, gave me a different experience. First of all, the decoration and environment of the restaurant make you feel that it is a high-end restaurant. The store staff will also play popular Korean music If you love Korean music, you will definitely enjoy it
The food portion is quite sufficient! The beef rice doesn't look like it's made from ingredients bought at a supermarket. It feels like it was made with care
The seafood soup is also very delicious It’s layered and incredibly spicy! It’s rare to find really spicy food in the UK Proves that the restaurant is serious about retaining the characteristics of Korean cuisine
In addition, the price/performance ratio is also very high! When checking out, I found out that the entire order was 30% off! It turns out that except for BBQ, you can get 7 pieces now. We will definitely come back! (Next time I’ll try their...
Read moreCame here several times about a year ago with the last time being 9 months ago until returning a few days back.
With the new management the portions are about half the size and cuts of meat are worse off (for chicken). Prices have remained about the same, so this is a surprise. The order made once fed 6 people and now only fed 3 with no left-overs.
Food was still okay, although much less flavourful and spicy than before.
Unsure if a bad batch of chicken received, but the whole party felt sick around 4 hours after, and it left me violently throwing up 7 times within a short span of time. Last time anything made me sick was over 6 years ago (thanks to an ironclad stomach) so this was suprising to say the least considering the food did not taste off.
Very disappointing visit. Food is no longer worth the cost. Staff are lovely however and the atmosphere is nice. 2 stars, as the food used to be much better and I want to give the past management...
