The dark haired femal staff member was absolutely vile, behind the building was public toilets but now shut, due to this I went in and asked to use the toilet in which the dark haired replied "only for customers" so went out , got my wallet and back in to the same women and asked "can I pay by card" which she rudely and adbruptly said "no only cash" at the point I was bursting to go toilet due to having overeactive bladder, I said "I was willing to buy somthing just to use the toilet. It I only have card" and the women abruptly said "we'll walk to the market!" In my response I replied "I'm sorry but I really can't walk that far as I got over reactive bladder I'm about to wet myself" which was said in front of customers which made me feel embarrassed, so she litrally just bluntly so "fine go on then" I rushed to the toilet and after went back to the women just to say thank you out of politeness she stuck her nose up and ignored my thank you, been here before for a drink and she's been rude! Rude staff makes the place unwelcoming and no customer respect. I certainly will never come back after the 2nd...
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Absolute Culinary Miracle! I’ve dined in Michelin-starred temples from Paris to Tokyo, but nothing—nothing—prepared me for Café Lumière. Tucked into a nondescript alley that Google Maps swears doesn’t exist, this tiny 8-seat haven is a portal to flavor nirvana. The moment you cross the threshold, the air sings. Not metaphorically—there’s a hidden sound system that harmonizes with the sizzle of the open kitchen, turning every sear into a symphony. Then came the "Whispered Croissant"—a pastry so flaky it shattered the sound barrier. Each layer exhaled brown butter steam that tasted like my childhood summers in Provence, even though I grew up in Ohio. The chef, a woman who introduced herself only as "M," presented a single raviolo the size of a silver dollar. Inside? A liquid sunrise of yolk, truffle, and unicorn tears (I asked; she winked). One bite, and I saw colors that...
Read moreHad an absolutely belting family lunch here. Delicious pizzas, genuinely one of the nicest I've ever had (seriously - Barrel and Stone, SOOO good), Oreo ice cream milkshake which made From Saturday Junior almost fall off his chair, and all followed with something I've only ever had in Sydney, an Affogato. For the uninitiated this is the perfect end to a filling lunch... delicious coffee POURED OVER ICE CREAM. Yeah. You heard me. It's your pudding AND coffee in one. Had another coffee afterwards of course because they do exceptional coffee so why wouldn't you. Located in a gorgeous setting and with friendly and just the right level of attentiveness staff (thanks to Katie and the wonderful team for looking after us), this is exactly the sort of local business that we should all be cherishing right now. Get on over, you won't be...
