Wanted to visit the Rok kitchen but found it closed having specifically gone up Moulsham St to eat. Was qith mymum and eldest and we were hungry, mum suggested this place,so gave it a go. My mum likes greasy little cafe's, I'm not a fan of these places at all, mainly because they offer little on their menus for food intolerances and aren't generally disabled accessible, when one of your party is in a wheelchair. This was no different..mum couldn't get her wheelchair into the toilet and shut the door which ment a slight struggle getting her up and to be able to close the door. As for food iteams this one even states on there menu they dont change items out on set breakfast meals, not very accommodating tbf, since all had an egg on every set breakfast meal and buying individual breakfast items worked out too costly for what they were. Being allergic to eggs instantly none of the breakfast choices were an option for me, so had a burger and fries which was tasty and filling considering i would never have chosen a cafe to eat in wasn't so bad still wouldn't chose it, my mum would though she likes cafes, thing is they all offer the same bland choice. Be aware that if you have a pushchair, the smaller rows between seating may cause you to run over toes. We sat ourselves and waited for a few moments before the waitress came to take our order. Approximately 10 minutes later, our breakfast for 4 was served. Our two youngsters loved their sausage and eggs, nearly eating every bite. My smoked salmon was nice, eggs perfectly poached. Different staff to who is normally there and the lady serving us was so rude I am lost for words. We ordered toast with our breakfast which did not coke, half way through eating we asked again and still nothing. We then finished our food and went to the till to pay when we asked what happened to the toast the lady’s response was ‘yeh we’re busy’ wow!
