Food was really tasty and ĝreat value if you don't have a massive appetite, as the portions are incredibly generous, so could easily be shared between 2 or even 3 people! My daughter ordered a chicken chow mein, and even with my help, we still had leftovers to take home! This wasn't a traditional chow mein either; there were no beansprouts, but lots of good quality chicken, noodles, onions, plus red and green peppers. I ordered the salt and pepper bao buns, which were also huge, with 2 in a portion. The highlight for us both, though, was the dessert - something I've never come across before - banana and Nutella spring rolls - 2 in the box, think full size pancake rolls, full to bursting with cooked banana and oozing with Nutella! You will definitely need to ask for extra tissues or take your wet wipes, as there's no way you're eating these without looking like a toddler who's just painted their face with their dinner! If I had to make one small criticism, it would be that the pastry was a little thick in places, but I guess if it was much thinner, the whole thing would just disintegrate. Boba tea was also nice. Bill was just over £30 for the 2 of us, and we were completely stuffed! Staff were friendly and helpful. Service was a little slow, but everything was made fresh, and it was Friday night. I think they were also dealing with home delivery orders. This isn't a big restaurant. There were only a few little booths with room for 2 or 3 on each side of the brightly painted wooden tables. Our table was a little sticky, so a bit more attention to cleaning might be in order, but there was only one person bringing out the food and she was rushed off her feet, so I can forgive that because I had wipes in my bag and the food made up for it! I've only given 3 stars for the atmosphere because it was quite noisy.. both tables behind ours had some "lively" conversations, which is fine if there's enough space, but in such a small area, it was a bit too loud for me! Would definitely order takeout or home delivery in the future, tho. Sadly, no photos as my phone died, but it all looked as great...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible service! Never have I had such a bad service to the point where I’m being flat out lied too about the delivery and they can’t even explain themselves!
I ordered 2 hours in advance, the expected delivery time was between 8:25-8:45. We waited to see exactly from 8:15 for the driver. It gets to past 9pm after no response and no contact for me to contact them to be told the driver has attempted and been outside until 9:10! We even got them to confirm the delivery address and then still they proceeded to tell us he was outside! Foul customer service with zero care to amend the situation all to be told on the phone and I quote “We don’t care”
I will never be going back to this place again absolutely terrible service! Do not recommend!
*In response to the owners comment - we have buzzers on the door that cannot be missed and not a single one was attempted. No one was ‘waiting’ let alone for the time...
Read moreOrdered a takeaway through Just Eat. Driver couldn't find our house and wasn't following our directions well, wanted us to go outside at 11pm to "find" him. I ended up saying don't worry and please refund me, it just got ridiculous in the end. I called the restaurant and spoke to I'm guessing the manager, he left me on hold whilst he spoke to the driver and asked me what have I done to help him find our house. I asked for a refund as it was getting late and the driver clearly ended up somewhere else, the manager refused me a refund which is what upset me the most. Your driver couldn't find me, and he was shouting down the phone, wasn't listening to our instructions which then resulted in the takeaway arriving late. The food was amazing, I can't fault that. But you need to work on your customer service big time. I had a valid reason to ask for a refund that should've been taken...
