The marketing makes this place look amazing, but it's far from it. We arrived at 7pm and ordered food but the only real 'main' meal they do is a chicken burger which was sold out, but the other dishes were actually very good. However, when we ordered, it said the food would be delivered in "10" (I assumed this meant minutes) but it was actually more like half an hour (the guy did apologise), this meant that the chips were cold and when we complained about this, he "microwaved" them for us. Why not just remake them? The drinks were OK but the cocktails seem very weak for nearly £11 each.
With regards to the games, this seemed very disorganised. We had to ask at the start of each game how to play it. A little 2 minute chat with the customers would go a long way here. As said in other reviews, the state of the crazy golf is very poor. Every hole is damaged, balls get lost or stuck and all the clubs are bent. Some of the holes were near impossible, but the maze hole was a nice change - maybe more variety in the holes like this would make it better?
The axe throwing was OK, but again there was no direction given. Considering there was a guy standing there collecting the axes the whole time, he offered little in the way of rules or scoring (apparently his phone was more important) but we eventually managed to convince him to show us how to throw an axe properly. The boards were falling apart and axes repeatedly fell out.
Prosecco pong was OK, again we had to ask how to play and it's in quite a crowded area. This was probably the most fun part of the evening.
In general, half of the staff spent a lot of their time looking at their phones and not tending to customers. None of the ones we spoke to seemed to care much about what they were doing and The music was very loud the whole time, but there's no actual dance floor so I'm not sure what purpose this serves, other than forcing people to shout...

Read moreSome friends and I booked in for axe throwing. We arrived before our booking at 1pm as advised on the booking confirmation. We were asked to wait whilst the staff member did something else, which was no problem. Once checked in and taken over to the station we were given a demonstration and told that we would not collect the axes once thrown but that the staff member would do this; we didn't expect this but again, that was fine if that's for health and safety reasons. After around 10ish minutes of being talked through the activity we began to take our turns. We were told during this that if there is time at the end we will get some additional turns (we didn't get any additionally turns). This was a bit confusing. We all had three goes each and were then told our time was done. It really felt that the activity was over before it began, as little did we know the 30 minutes we were booked in for included the demonstration! For £12 each it did not feel like value for money, especially as for 2 of our group this was their first time doing this and they barely got into the swing of it! It was really disappointing for a first experience of coming here. I wouldn't book this again, and would second guess when booking any...
