Sticky & Sweet Cupcake Co Ltd — Restaurant in Chelmsford

The cupcakes were pretty and good but I thought the chocolate fudge cupcakes & Reese's cupcakes that I ordered were going to be chocolate cake (not white) just like the photos on their website. Apparently, all their cupcakes come in white cake and not chocolate. This is NOT stated on the main cupcake page on their website but only when you click on each item. This (to me) is NOT very clear as most cupcakes are not made in all white cake. The owner was not empathic or kind to me wondering why my cupcakes didn't look like the pictures I ordered on their website and I didn't appreciate it. No one fully reads everything on a website (especially if it's not on their main cupcake page) and you can't order online with options to pick white or chocolate cake. They should always ask clients if they want to order them white or chocolate to confirm as the pictures on their website are in chocolate or they should show pictures of the cupcakes in white and chocolate or have an option to buy online with the option of white or chocolate to make it easier for us (if they don't want to confirm and just blame the customer for not seeing the statement somewhere on their website). She just continued to blame me and said sorry you didn't see that it states they are all in white on the website (BUT it's not on the main page and when I ordered them I didn't even click on each cupcake). None the less, she should have been more empathetic and kinder to me and more understanding and she wasn't. Kindness and understanding and being empathetic to people is key and a beautiful things. Will not order from here...

“THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH” to Louise at Sticky & Sweet Cupcake Co Ltd for my absolutely amazing 50th Birthday Cake. From the very first moment I spoke to Louise she made me feel so happy knowing that she was able to fulfil my brief. I asked for a ‘Grease Themed’ 2 tier cake with the Grease film strip around it and wasn’t too sure if this was possible. Louise very kindly did this for me and the clarity of the film strip was unbelievable.

Louise discussed the flavours with me and advised me what would work well. She delivered my cake in plenty of time for my party and it was perfect ! My guests absolutely loved it and complimented me on how beautiful and unique the design was.

My cake is SO DELICIOUS and the sponge is so amazing - tasting incredible. I chose lemon and raspberry for my 1st tier and chocolate and coconut for the 2nd. Louise I can’t Thank You enough for making my beautiful 50th Birthday Cake SO SPECIAL, and I can’t wait to send you my next order lovely...

Having used several cake makers in the past to mediocre success, I discovered 'sticky & sweet cupcakes' purely by chance & with that chance I found myself a little gem of sugary heaven ☺️ Salted caramel cupcakes, strawberry & cream cupcakes & my daughters favourite, Christmas cupcakes: which went down a festive storm at her Christmas school party: have all been that little bit of naughty but oh so nice, pleasure. I can't fault Louise, she has made me cakes at short notice with not so much as a sigh & I know I've tried her patience asking for goodies in a hurry, nothing seems too much trouble. Her fudge & cookies have been a revelation too, my waist band has grown since finding this little bit of joy in Chelmsford but theres no blame at Louise's door for that, I just can't resist her goodies. I can't rate her & her sugars treats...
