Not very impressed with this university especially the International college. Very poor quality lessons, with your first year teachers hardly giving you an education. Most admin staff have a "don't care" attitude and treat you as a guilty party when having to mitigate. Also found that admin staff are not putting students on correct courses after mitigating modules causing students To repeat semesters. I had to repeat 4 modules due to illness. I did 3 modules in one semester, when it came to the second semester I queried why I had an extra 2 modules, the answer given "previous modules did not relate to my degree therefore credits cannot be used" so I wasted 6 months studying modules that had no relevance to my degree. No acknowledgement of this by staff. Also cric staff will change assignments and updates will rarely be made available online, poor quality interactive tools with information over 10 years old. Am I happy paying £9250 for this?....... no should be half of that. Would I be happy sending my child to this university not particularly. I could go on but I'm hoping people think twice about choosing...

When looking at ARU from a distance, it looked really friendly with a positive and supportive ambience. However, when you register and travel to ARU, you realize they won’t help you with your accommodation even a bit, especially when you’re with a partner and a child.
I have been here in Chelmsford for 10 days now in a hotel with my wife and 3-year-old daughter. Nobody agrees to let us an apartment to stay in just because we are foreigners and I am a foreign student. After talking to and emailing ARU many times, the final answer has been “sorry you’re on your own”
In short, ARU is a terrible place for a master’s or phd degree for someone with a family because they hate families here and provide zero support for accommodation of those foreign students with families.
I’m already regretting my decision of...
Read moreI would not even rate 1 star. I attended the university in 2020 and left just before the end of the 1st year due to the fact that all learning was online and I was not able to attend the university physically once.
I was informed by staff that if I left before the end of the first year I would not need to make any repayments. However as soon as I left, I was told I have to make a payment of £17,000. I have tried to contact the university over the past two years in regards to this by letters and emails and I have had no response at all.
Do not attend this university. They will not respond to any of your queries if you need them. They will just take your money and provide you...
