As far as the atmosphere is concerned 'five stars' if you want to get caught up in a brawl as you leave. Man was being beaten to a pulp by a thug using knuckle dusters as he exited the venue doors. How the hell did this venue allow someone in with knuckle dusters in the first place. The police were there clearly use to the place kicking off and one of our party was badly hurt by a flying bottle deliberately aimed at us as we tried to pick our way through the mayhem to leave. The perpetrator, a female, believed to be conected to the thug with the knuckle duster then proceeded to grab our friends hair from behind. The police were aware of our friends injuries but frankly were unable to control the situation. They offered no assistance and didn't call an ambulance. As far as we are aware they didn't arrest the young woman who carried out the assault on our own party but we have established where she comes from and her name so will be looking to establish further information and then report her for a criminal investigation. How these venues keep their licences to trade i will never know. Its all about proft, selling as much alchohol as possible with little regard to the safety of their patrons and leaving the police to clear up the mess. Good ambience generally. But in line with new covid 'substantial meal rules' they're charging £5 per person for a bottomless pizza, which you don't actually get. We waited patiently for a pizza but received no more then 1 very small slice per 30-40 mins wait , brought round by a senior member of staff who had his favourites, and served them in favour of me and my friend, who had been waiting longer, just because he wanted to carry on talking to them. In short, it's not a substantial meal because you don't get fed on a whole pizza per person ( their old deal used to include bottle of wine) you don't even get a whole pizza to share for your money for 2. You are lucky if you get a a slice every 30 mins to an hour here. Fine if you only want to drink. Not good if you actually want to eat as well. Went for a surprise reunion for my friends birthday. Was made to wait outside for 45 minutes until the table was ready, despite booking a table in advance. When we eventually got our table, we were greeted by an incredibly rude waitress who showed no remorse for the delay to our visit, storming off from our table when we asked whether we would receive any compensation. The manager was also incredibly arrogant; what could have been an easy discussion about seating arrangements was approached in a rude and patronising manner, with him walking away from our table after saying “well leave if you don’t like it” - we did leave, after 5 minutes, as we didn’t want our night to be ruined by the rudeness of their staff.
