Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Cheltenham

First off. You should know that although not clear. Costa don't allow dogs in their store...

... unfortunately the team are so ignorant and self absorbed that they didn't even realise that we had been standing there for a few minutes....Once the girl finally acknowledged our existence she very quickly said 'oh we don't allow dogs in here. You need to get out now!' at which point I explained 'oh ok well I know for next time...can I order my drink and I'll go outside?' she then looked over at what must of been the supervisor at the time. Who was a bit more cooperative and agreed to take my order and bring it out for me.

I suggest you close this place down until you can teach your staff some normal customer service skills...

...All it would of taken was acknowledgement of the customers existence... 'Hi, we'll be right with you' or if the person has a dog 'Hi, due to our cleanliness policy we can't allow dogs in here'

Staff seem distracted and you feel like you on a conveyor belt in the queue. Limited interaction when ordering. When I asked for a glass for my orange juice, the next customer was now being served and I had to wait. Had to ask for my ordered cake too. No signage saying you can't take you're dog inside,ordered coffee and cakes and then was asked to leave! Don't have an issue if this is the policy but if it is give customers the information as they enter the coffee house so they can decide,now sat outside after poor service with 2 attempts to get a hot coffee and...
