Honestly one of the nicest meals I have had in Cheltenham. Friendly staff who are happy to get you another pint. And taking responses for each order. I went for the Suffolk burger. Burger with cheese, gherkins, smoked bacon and burger jam. Honestly a fantastic burger and cannot fault how tasty it was. The next was dessert. I am a faller for sticky toffee pudding and am proud to say when I see it it's my way of verifying if the restraint is decent. This sticky toffee was lovely and hot with the sauce and a gorgeous dollop of vanilla ice cream. Not much for the price but it was still a lovely end to the meal and another pint. Total ÂŁ29. For one person. I don't usually go for these, but on this occasion. The sticky toffee pulled me in. The area is quiet with an array of shops and the pub is made to match this. Quiet but soulful. I will be coming here again. They seem so interested in making sure I was okay with the burger and the pudding. And the bartender was happy to have simple conversation. Five out of five for me. Keep it up!

We had the BEST Sunday roast ever today ! We have had many Sunday roast experiences in the UK and this was by far the best!. Every part of the meal - the meat and the vegetables freshly and individually prepared, the gravy was to die for. Although we were in a pub, it was not "Pub Grub" - it was a five star restaurant experience. Ben the Chef, was out and about talking to patrons, Mark the Manager , was very gracious and attentive, the staff where excellent. The transformation in the Suffolk Arms is amazing - the food, the decor and the ambience makes this establishment an absolute delight.

What a little gem of a pub we stumbled across this evening. Every single staff member we had contact with was so friendly and warm, including the Irish chef. The pub was also warm with a lovely real fire. We had desserts and cider and I was so pleased to find a dairy free option on the menu. The chefs did a great job on decorating the plate for the caramel slice and brownie which we enjoyed. I asked them chef for a picture as the lighting wasn't good enough to do justice to the desserts! A fantastic pub and we'd love to return to try the food. Dog friendly, including in restaurant area.

Called in at this lovely pub last night after dropping off our little Granddaughters in nearby Leckhampton. We had called in a few months back just for a drink and loved the lay out and atmosphere so decided to give the food a try this time. We were greeted by a very pleasant young lady who went through the Covid-19 stuff then showed us to our seat. The room was decorated beautifully and obviously had the female touch. The menu was probably a reduced one due to Covid, but it didn’t disappoint and there were several dishes I could have chosen, but I opted for the game pie, whilst my wife opted for sea bass. I decided to try a pint of St Austell Tribute and I only wish I wasn’t driving as it was a superb pint and I could easily have sunk a few more. When the food arrived, it was clear it had been cooked by a chef rather than a pub cook as it’s presentation and quality was superb. My pie was delicious and came with a dish of the biggest chips I have ever seen, beautifully crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy in the middle, add to that a dish of delightfully cooked seasonal veg and I had the perfect meal. My wife too enjoyed her sea bass fillet which came with Bacon & Thyme Potato Cake, Seasonal Greens, Salsa Verde. I just about had enough room for a pud and there were several that grabbed my fancy, but I opted for Chocolate Orange Cheesecake with Candied Orange and Sorbet, de-lic-ious. The only downside was my wife asking for a second spoon and enjoying it too. Next time she has her own. This really was a very good meal and if we lived closer (we are in Malvern) this would be my local without question. Delightful staff, good beer and great food, what more could a man want. I wish them all the very best at this difficult time, but can’t wait...

Hi

This unfortunately started bad when I booked a table last week only to find when I turned up people outside and the doors shut, we had booked like many others yet we not informed that they were not open.

With this in mind we decided to to give them a second chance this weekend Sunday the 19th 2021.

On arrival we were shown our table and I must say from the previous establishment this looked 100 times better.

Ordered drinks that came very promptly, did order a Diet Coke with out ice but still came with ice, the server dealt with it well and removed the ice, my pint was spot on.

Ordered two roast pork Sunday lunches which did take over half an hour to arrive at our table and the table of four next to us ordered after us but got their food first.

These should of been on the menu as a Sunday roast belly pork as there was so much fat and so little meat the veg is also just enough to tick the box on the menu for what you get ie one piece of small broccoli. We also double checked the board menu and it did say we get pork cracklings but we didn’t 🙁

I was asked if I was happy with the food but unfortunately with my mouth full I just couldn’t really reply and the girl left.

Ordered a fruit crumble pudding ( you have to ask what it comes with at it doesn’t say on the menu and the server wasn’t sure either) came out burnt top.

Positives the bar service is good and servers are efficient.

Negative food is not up to the standard they are charging when so much better around the same area.

Over all for a ÂŁ55.00 Sunday lunch for two rather...

The food was amazing, i had the Cajun chicken burger and it was incredible. For dessert i had the sticky toffee pudding which was also delicious. However the service went from 10/10 to 1/10 really fast once one of the waiters had left. At 3 o’clock we realised it was different staff and we had empty plates in front of us for at least 20 minutes. The waiter had seen us sat there with empty plates and just ignored us. We then had to go to the bar to get a dessert menu and then continued to wait for someone to actually acknowledge us. We then proceeded to go to the bar to order desserts whilst the waiter was stood talking to someone at the bar. Finally after 30/40 minutes of dirty plates being sat in front of us, they were moved. If it was busy i would be able to see why we were completely ignored but we were the only table in. It’s unfortunate as the food was incredible and the service to start was amazing, i didn’t catch the name of the waiter unfortunately but credit to him. If you like to sit and enjoy yourself, i wouldn’t...
