Fat Jack's — Restaurant in Cherwell District

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The food looked like it had lost the will to live before it even reached the table. The burger was a sad, soggy mess — cold in the middle, burnt on the outside, and somehow managed to taste like cardboard dipped in old fryer oil. The chips? Limp, pale, and greasy enough to make your hands feel like you’ve been changing a car engine.

The staff couldn’t care less. No welcome, no smile, not even basic manners. I’ve had warmer service from a parking meter. The place itself looked like it hadn’t seen a mop or cloth since the early 2000s — sticky tables, dirty floors, and a smell that could knock out a horse.

Absolutely love Fat Jack in Banbury! The food here never disappoints — everything is always fresh, full of flavour, and cooked just right. You can tell they really care about what they serve. The burgers are juicy, the portions are spot on, and everything tastes like proper quality food, not rushed or greasy like some places.

The staff are brilliant — always smiling, friendly, and make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. The service is quick too, even when they’re busy, and they always get the order right. The whole place has a nice, relaxed vibe, and it’s always clean and well looked after.
