A Refined New Gem in Banbury – Kosk Restaurant We visited Kosk just a day after its grand opening, and I must say, it exceeded every expectation. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed elegant, refined, and with a touch of aristocratic charm. Every corner felt carefully curated, creating a truly sophisticated atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive, offering a level of service that was 10/10. You could tell that even though they had just opened, they were already striving for the highest standards and achieving them effortlessly. As for the food, everything was simply outstanding. We started with perfectly crisp calamari, followed by a main of the meat platter for two and the most incredible octopus. I’ve had octopus in many places, but this one truly set a new standard. Perfectly cooked tender, melt in the mouth, and full of delicate flavour it was simply sublime. The presentation was immaculate, every detail beautifully thought out, from the vibrant drizzle of sauce to the artful pairing of vegetables. The texture was faultless soft yet meaty, with that subtle char that adds depth and character. It’s rare to experience a dish where everything taste, aroma, texture, and plating feels so harmoniously balanced. Without a doubt, the best octopus I’ve ever had. A genuine culinary triumph For dessert, we were surprised with a complimentary slice of pistachio cake, which made my birthday even more special a lovely and thoughtful gesture that truly stood out. Our new favourite restaurant in Banbury. Fantastic food and service and cocktails. Managed to get a table on their soft opening before it gets mega busy and took the whole family. Everyone loved the food and even the kids were so impressed with decor and the staff that they couldn’t believe we were still in Banbury.
