Zushi Banbury: A Culinary Gem in the Heart of Oxfordshire
Rating: 5 stars
Zushi Banbury has quickly become my go-to spot for authentic Japanese cuisine. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was transported to a world of culinary delights. The restaurant's ambiance is both elegant and inviting, with warm tones and subtle Japanese accents creating a sense of serenity.
The food at Zushi is nothing short of exceptional. Each dish is meticulously prepared using fresh, high-quality ingredients, resulting in an explosion of flavours that tantalize the taste buds. I particularly enjoyed the sushi, which was incredibly fresh and packed with flavour. The rolls were beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's artistry and attention to detail.
Beyond the exquisite food, the service at Zushi is equally impressive. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about providing an exceptional dining experience. They took the time to understand my preferences and made excellent recommendations based on my tastes.
Zushi Banbury is not just about the food and service; it's an experience that engages all the senses. The restaurant's ambiance is peaceful and relaxing, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. Even the toilets are spotless, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to cleanliness and attention to detail.
Whether you're a seasoned sushi connoisseur or simply seeking a taste of authentic Japanese cuisine, Zushi Banbury is a must-visit destination. The combination of exceptional food, impeccable service, and a serene ambiance makes it a true gem in the heart of Oxfordshire. Read moreWe came from Northampton, it was the first experience in this place. We planned to enjoy starter, mean, and dessert. Our friends were late about 5 min so we ordered a starter. Our waitress was lovely until came over the lady and she started teaching us how we needed to order food in a restaurant. We weren't familiar with the menu, so it's took time for us to choose a meal. But was really rood intarapted and told off that we have to order in one go starter, meal and dessert, also table booked only for 2h. We weren't aware when we booked a table about 2h and felt unwelcome. I thought I'm in a restaurant, not in the canteen, where we could enjoy meals and the atmosphere. So as we spent 1h to travel to this place we had starter and main, took a bill and was waiting when my partner will finish beer to leave. Where after payment, the lady came over and asked us to leave as we were just chatting, and there is new clients coming in, and they needed a table. There were 4 tables empty, also we was there only 1.20min, my partner didn't finished drink, this was the worst service which I had in the restaurant. I can admit the food...
Read moreWhen we order for collection, it's ok and the food is good but it can be difficult to park in town to pick it up so we order delivery occasionally. But sadly we have been let down by them on multiple occasions now and this is the last straw. We placed an order today, their website said 45-60 min for delivery. We chose a slot that was 1.5 hours later, just to be on the safe side as we've had to wait that long before too... And now, they are 45 minutes late for that slot too, so we've been waiting for over 2 hours for a simple order that's a 5 minute drive from the place. They didn't even offer to refund the delivery fee as a token gesture and just made some excuses on the phone. Also, their delivery drivers have got lost almost every time too, even though it's not a strange location at all. We'll order from elsewhere next time. Very disappointed as the food is okay. Not all authentic Japanese (I used to live in Japan), but good enough and there aren't any other options...
