Love Desserts: A Tragic Tale in Verse
A tale of woe from Love Desserts I tell, Where rainbow walls promised sweet delights. But strawberries? "None left," the staff said well, "Perhaps tomorrow brings more fruitful sights."
"A coffee then?" I asked with hope renewed, "The machine broke down—we sent it away!" My caffeine dreams were thoroughly eschewed, So cake would have to save this cursed day.
The menu promised ice cream with my slice, A perfect pairing, creamy, cold, and sweet. But when it came, bare sponge was not so nice— "The menu lies," they shrugged, "It's obsolete."
At last we tried to settle up the bill, "Cash only, please!"—in twenty-twenty-five! Who carries coins up Banbury's High Hill? Their Stone Age ways will never help them thrive.
Oh Love Desserts, your name's a cruel jest, No fruit, no cream, no coffee, and no card. Your service puts all patience to the test— One star would be ridiculously hard.
So heed my warning, travelers who roam: Bring cash, low hopes, and eat before you come. For Love Desserts will send you hungry home, With nothing but regret and feeling glum.
Never again shall I darken their door, Where promises crumble like...
Read moreWent today for the first time with my son and I doubt I’ll go back in a hurry. The service time was appalling and took 45 minutes from when we ordered (even then they seemed to forget our order and customers who ordered after us got their orders first). Staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Only one person seemed to know how to operate the till properly and they weren’t in the shop which caused further delay when there was an issue with the till. The cookie dough was very very hot when it came out so had to wait for it to cool down (a child could have burnt themselves). The Oreo cookies & cream sundae had some strawberry sauce in it! Plus lots of gaps in the sundae dish, so it felt like it had been made in a hurry. The shop wasn’t that busy when we arrived so disappointed that we had to wait as long. The orders came out separately and had to remind staff there was an item missing. Overall, very disorganised and staff lacked training. Appreciate it’s only the first few days, but our first impression is what counts and that...

Only reason for the 4 star, is the place could do with a proper clean / looking after, the floor was lifted around the counter, cobwebs in the corner of the large window and the bathroom is like I’d expect in someone house not a restaurant - also guys, maybe worth having a hand dryer or hand towels so you can dry your hands after washing. Not terrible and food was really nice which I think redeems this place and the gentleman serving us (I believe the manager) was nice, chatty and welcoming. Price...
