ProSmoke BBQ — Restaurant in Cherwell District

It all started with a Weber Smokey Mountain and went downhill from there.....

I was quite happy bumbling along smoking the occasional brisket or ribs, maybe a chicken and once or twice some fish. Enough to impress the guests and produce some tasty results. Then about two years ago I found Pro Smoke! This is BBQ porn at its best. The shop is close to me so I'd duck in for rubs and small bits of kit, always stopping to drool over the American off-set smokers. The drooling intensified and became an itch, I started searching online for off-set smoker recipes and techniques. I tried to build my own but it wasn't good enough and so the wife, fed up with my daydreaming of BBQ prospects, drove me to Pro Smoke and we came home with the baby - a 16 inch American off-set smoker! I haven't looked back, the possibilities are endless and I'm set on achieving world domination with this amazing bit of kit.

So thanks Ollie and all the staff in the shop who were patient and spent time going through all the BBQs without the hard sell, to Lucy in the office who kept me up to date with delivery and even the contracted courier who was local and delivers a lot of their products. Exceptional service all the way through, a great shop and friendly helpful people. Five stars...

When we were there we were helped by a young man called Sam.

He was very well informed. Had a good understanding of the range and also had a deep and detailed knowledge of smokers in general. I left much better informed than I went in. This is an excellent specialist for somebody looking to get started with smoking.

There was a good variety of products and accessories which I will be returning for whenever I need resupply of wood chips and meat. This is a place which you can visit the first time to purchase a smoker but also to go back regularly to purchase various accoutrements necessary in smoking.

The only drawback I could speak of is the price that is asked for the actual smokers. The accessories and the such are very reasonably priced. Having said that, the products are of a very high quality and are specialist in their field.

Ultimately, this supplier lost out by happenstance from me because as a Costco member I was able to purchase something for much cheaper. This is not an indictment of this supplier. Costco has stock which it swaps out regularly and it was a result of circumstance.

Superb experience - Having ordered a Yeti bottle (which was virtually impossible to source anywhere in the UK - the stock kept here is fantastic!), I then contacted the company asking about another Yeti item, which I could not find for sale anywhere, nor even on the Yeti website where it was out of stock. I received a response very quickly. I was afraid to miss out on this item when it came into stock (the following day) and so, the staff advised me they would contact me when it went live on their website. I received said contact and have now (VERY) happily received the product. I cannot fault the service here. At every stage, it has been absolutely fantastic; polite, friendly and incredibly quick.
