I wouldnât come back. The staff were polite but we arrived at 5pm as a family of 4 on a Saturday, ordered at 5:17 (according to my receipt) but it took over an hour (6:19) until our food (just pizza!) arrived. This was the same for all other tables around us. Apologies given by the waiter but they really werenât that busy compared to what Saturday nights can get like, however, it did appear that they had a lot of takeaway and deliveries which obviously get prioritised over those who sit in (not ok!!). This may explain why the pizza also wasnât very hot, it felt like it had been out of the oven for 5 minutes already.
My children are 3 and 5 so spent that entire hour asking where dinner was, not fun, but they did eat their salad and eventually my wife just let them have their ice cream before dinner to keep them going. We were also worried about time as we had plans at 7pm 20 minutes away.
What was a bit of a joke was that despite only one or maybe two other people (I couldnât quite see) in the restaurant drinking wine. I was told they had ârun out of wine glassesâ and had to drink my wine from a soda/water glass. Seriously?!
The corn on the cob wasnât very nice too, it was like it had been defrosted and then left before being grilled, all of us were disappointed by it and left it in the end. This added to the grief I got from my wife who said I should have ordered onion rings, thanks Pizza Hut!
The male toilets also need a bit of a deep clean, itâs not often I have to warn my children to make sure they really donât touch things despite having the ability to immediately wash their hands, the urinals in particular need a bleach and scrub.
All in all, not the dinner out with the family I was hoping for. When our meal is over ÂŁ50, I expect a better experience. I did leave a tip as I chose to do so when I ordered, with hindsight, I wouldnât have done, it simply wasnât earned, even if the staff did smile, the overall experience let the entire restaurant down. Food was enjoyable mostly though so still a 2* review but it would have been higher if not for all the factors above.
In summary, I wonât be coming back or using Pizza Hut...
Read moreCame to the Hut for the first time in ages. It's not so much a restaurant anymore, as a self-service fast(ish) food place. First, once you're seated, you have to order your own food/drink via your phone (prepaying before you get your food). Mobile signal isn't great, so you need to use their (O2) WiFi, including registering/giving them your mobile number. The ordering website is constantly trying to up/cross sell. Asking if you want to upgrade your buffet to include unlimited ice-cream, or if you want to combo your pizza with extra sides. Are you sure you don't want more drinks?
Salad is now included with all meals and unlimited, but it's nowhere as good as it used to be. Cucumbers were soggy and looked like they were there for a few days. And not much choice. I'm sure you used to get loads of different options... sweetcorn, beetroot, onion's, olives, peppers. Now it was pretty much just lettuce, cherry toms, cucumbers, carrots, potato salad, coleslaw, and a handful of sauces.
The pizza we got was what we expected, can't complain about it. We weren't hungry enough to get the buffet, so ordered from the menu and boxed the leftovers. We were warned when entering they didn't have any garlic bread/g b with cheese. Maybe it's been this way for ages, but there wasn't even salt/pepper on the tables. I remember they used to have dried chilli flakes/poor parmesan... Now there was two sauces (I think ketchup and BBQ?).
We came here because we were already in the retail park. I don't think we'll be in a hurry to head back especially, but maybe if we're hungry and out of other options - we know...
Read moreWARNING DO NOT USE THIS RETAIL PARK
Iâve been a customer of Banbury cross retail park since moving to Banbury in 2021, on the 11th June I made a trip to the retail park, spending ÂŁ60+ on shopping at the food warehouse, ÂŁ100+ at Currys, ÂŁ20+ at Hobbycraft, ÂŁ10+ at Costa and ÂŁ50+ at Pizza Hut (where service was extremely slow), me and my partner are also members of the PureGym and our entire family are registered at the Boots chemist.
I will not be visiting this retail park again, will take my custom elsewhere, will cancel both gym memberships and register at a different chemist. This is due to the absolutely pathetic car park charges enforced by this retail park - my visit supposedly lasted 3hrs 11 minutes; conveniently 1 minute longer than the allowed time (due to the 10 minute grace period allowed by law). This seems oddly calculated and potentially manipulated by these crooks.
The car park is always empty and is displayed as a free car park for customers - for ALLEGEDLY staying 1 minute over the allowed time, I have been given a ÂŁ100 fine (reduced to ÂŁ60 for early payment).
This is absolutely disgraceful and I can assure the owners that they will only drive away custom from this retail park by allowing the farcical crooks âEuro Car Parksâ to...
