Gasoline American Bar — Restaurant in Chesterfield

My friends and I called in to Gasoline on Saturday late afternoon to watch the football. My friends had been a couple times and had negative experiences with staff but we decided to try again.

There was a table in front of the tv screen reserved from 5:30, but no body turned up. We politely asked a bartender if we could move to this table, and we were told we could, but to give the table a 10-min grace period, which was no issue. At the end of the 10-min period, I went back to the bar to double check we were still ok to move tables and I spoke with who I can only assume was the owner. I was told sharply we could not move and he had changed his mind about the time in which we had to wait for the table to be available. The manager became rude and aggressive when I tried to point out it was well over the reserved time, and one of my friends even stepped in to try and ask the manager why he was becoming to aggressive. He started pointing and shouting, saying it was his bar and he could change his mind on the rules if he wanted. He became so rude that we all decided to finish our drinks and go to another bar.

I would not recommend Gasloline to anyone and I will definately not be returning, which is a shame as it is a nice pub with a good selection of beers. It’s a shame that the owner was so unpleasant.

I am absolutely appalled. My husband and I have supported this country event from the very beginning, and tonight we were turned away simply because my husband was wearing trainers. After all the months we’ve spent supporting not only this event but also your bar, this is beyond disrespectful.

We have introduced countless friends to both your venue and the line dancing sessions, and now all of that loyalty feels completely dismissed. I am 45 years old, and to be treated in such a way is unacceptable.

You have not only lost our support, but also the support of the many people we have brought to your establishment. Shame on you, Gasoline Bar, Chesterfield.

Love the place, only bar in chesterfield that you can watch ufc when it’s on at a decent time and a fight night. 2 pool tables and 4 free to play arcade games, always in mortal combat. Great selection of alcohol. They serve food which is always handy, I literally don’t need to go anywhere else when out. Jukebox to play songs of your choice and a decent sized area on the back. An absolute gem in chesterfield, there’s nowhere else like it. Owner very friendly and we have always been made feel welcome. Has became our go to whenever we’re out and about and have never had a bad experience. We look forward to...
