The Pavements Shopping Centre — Local services in Chesterfield

Be carful going into poundland. As the fella on the till who served me told me my card was not charged and I needed to scan it again so I did. When I got out of the shop I checked my recipe and noticed the bottom half was missing. So I then checked my bank and the fella on till had charged me twice. 2 £70 payments were taken. I went back into the shop to see what had happened. And he was insistent I was only charged once. I showed him my bank them the notifications on my phone showing I'd infant had two £70 payments taken. I also asked him why the other half of my recipe was not on the recipe. He stated because he changed the till roll. No he didn't. He served me and there was a massive queue. So after me he carried on serving. I did not see him changing any till roll. The supervisor in the shop was lovely rang the manager to get it sorted..The manager was quite patronising on the phone. And was telling me to go into my bank to sort it. I told him it wasn't the bank who had charged me but the shop he managers. He was passing the buck. And I wanted a full refund. As I was fully entitled to one.. I've never felt so humiliated made to feel like a common criminal. The manager knew I wasn't backing down and told the supervisor to give me a full refund. So please be carful check all recipes the lady supervisor was very nice she's a credit to poundland. Oh and try and use cash if you can. As I've noticed this is not a common mistake..either the machine was faulty or the fella who served me was up...

I love the fact that Chesterfield town centre is still traditionally a good old market town with lots of original buildings of historical interest but also got a little bit of the modern with this much needed shopping centre for the locals.
