It’s basically a cafeteria with a ripoff menu. I ordered off the ala carte menu and they charged me for the set menu even after I repeatedly told them that I wanted to order ala carte. The food was mediocre an overpriced and there are many better restaurants within a short walk. I have circled what I ordered and they charged $9.90 more claiming I was ordering off a set menu when their menu doesn’t make it clear at all. Avoid the place

First time eating out before the theatre, we were told it was cheap but really good service and food. We pre booked which I’m sure is the only way you can get served before you need to be out. There is a limited menu but I had slow Ox cheek, unbelievable it was absolutely delicious. The lady serving was very pleasant and the food did not take long to appear.

We decided to eat here before seeing a show at The Minerva Theatre and we were pleased that we did. The pork belly was delicious and portion size was perfect. I had the trifle for dessert and it was tasty but a little rich. Bottle of wine my brother in law chose was Sancerre which was expensive at £42. A very pleasant meal before the show. I

I notice that you haven't asked 'why have I cancelled, so I'll tell you. I had pre theatre lunch with you on 15th August, three of us. I ordered the 'less well done beef' with roast potatoes followed by 'peach melba'. The waiter apologized that the beef was well done but 'the chef couldn't help it'. Needless to say it was tough as leather and i didn't eat it. The 'roast potatoes turned out to be potatoes boiled in their jackets, again I didn't eat them and again I complained. The waiter responded by saying, 'that's all he'd got'. I don't know if your chef had had any training but anyone who eats out knows Peach Melba is a famous COLD dish of FRESH peaches with cream and ice CREAM. What I got was tinned fruit that had been FRIED with water ice. I said that I expected all this to be reflected in the bill. It wasn't. so I'll be pleased to accept your refund soon; a cheque will suffice - no a free 'meal' will not satisfy. I have to say I have never had such a bad meal and will never come to you again - neither will my guests who were equally displeased. By the bye, the waiter service was excellent , a shame that they had to deal with an incompetent kitchen (or management probably). Atmospher was fine but too much echo and in the crowded restaurant conversation...

We booked a window table for a 90th birthday months in advance and they didn’t note the request. Ms Amanda at reception got it wrong but didn’t think to apologise or find a way to make up for it, the chair for the wheelchair was removed by us as they didn’t seem to help. Very disappointing. Got better at the table. Ms Amy was wonderfully attentive and friendly. The food is terribly overpriced. The sparkling bottle costs £65 (!)Don’t bother with the starters, small and simple. They must make their burrata themselves, never seen such a tiny one. Now comes the lovely part. The mains were superb. The lamb perfect, really outstandingly lovely, as was the chicken and the fish. That’s why it came on average to 2 stars...
