Located in just off the Royal Mile, this pizzeria comes with a Capital P where the ‘P’ stands for posh! It’s nothing like a pizza joint, this place exudes an air of sophistication and refinement.
As soon as you step from the cobble streets through the double doors, you are greeted by an elegant interior adorned with bright splashes of colour, large window booths, and warm ambient lighting. You can also choose to sit at the bar where you’ll have a view of the pizza oven.
The aroma of freshly baked crust wafts through the air, enticing your senses. From the moment you are seated, the attentive and knowledgeable staff guide you through the simple but perfectly cured menu of small plates, 11 pizzas, some salads and desserts.
The staff are fantastic - friendly, always on hand to steer you right and very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks.
The small plates are £8 each or 3 for £20. They are substantial - one would be a perfect starter or 3 would be a decent dinner.
STONE FLASHED SPICED PRAWNS GF] - served on homemade bread and courgette puree. CAULIFLOWER [V/VE/GF] - lightly battered, served with soy and sriracha sauce. AUBERGINE AND GOATS CHEESE [V/GF] - medallions of grilled aubergine and lightly fried goats cheese. Set on a sweet pepper sauce. CHIMICHURRI CAPRESE [V] SALAD (£8.00) - sliced tomato and mozzarella tossed with chimichurri.
Every single one of these dishes was scoffed. No crumbs remained. So good! The Aubergine and Goats Cheese was particularly good - soft, gooey, slightly smokey!
Their handmade dough is a special mix of bran and germ toasted flour and single zero flour making the pizza crust thin with a good bubbled edge. You feel full afterwards but not bloated which I translate to meaning you can fit more pizza in your belly! hehe.
Their pizzas have creative toppings Calabrian Spices Sausage with mixed sweet peppers and a wild broccoli drizzle OR the Carbonara with pork cheek, padron peppers, pecorino base, with parmesan and egg yolk. The pizzas are on the expensive side, most are £17, but the quality of the ingredients is very obvious!
We tried the GORGONZOLA AND ARTICHOKES [V- finished with sun dried tomatoes and basil oil. PULLED GAMMON (£17)- spiced pineapple and sweet chilli drizzle
Loved the ratio of sauce versus toppings versus cheese. The sauce isn’t over powering and you can see and taste the ingredients with a decent amount of cheese.
3 Blind Mice also serve some decent cocktails, beers, spirits and wines. It was much has cocktail bar vibes! To finish our meal we tried the Bomboloni. Sugary dough balls to dip in hot chocolate sauce - what’s not to love!
There's a new pizzeria in town! I’m not sure if you’ll visit for cocktails and stay for the pizza, or go for pizza and stay for the cocktails. Either way it doesn’t really matter, as long as you go!

Read moreWhat would've been an exceptional experience was completely ruined by our unfortunate accommodations.
After reserving a table for two a week prior, we arrived and were given the only table situated in between two busy doors. One being the entrance where every few minutes guests would come in and leave the doors wide open for all the cold wind to hit us, the other leading to the downstairs cocktail bar and restrooms. The single most chaotic spot in the venue.
Looking back I would've gladly relinquished the table to one of dozens that came in without reservation, leaving without closing the door. I had asked before we sat if there were any other options and was refused. Then before we were served I asked again the possibility to change as I suspected was necessary but nothing could be done.
Once served, three tables freed up, some of which were given to walk-ins. None of the servers who knew we wanted another table offered to move us, which wasn't their fault as our appetizers had just arrived. Throughout the hour long stay, various servers must've closed the doors at least a dozen times due to affluence. I ended up heavily regretting paying almost 90£ for two pizzas, an appetizer and two drinks, without any acknowledgement or question about our experience.
Food was good but this review is directed to management (any reasonable person would remove this table) and to any guests who may receive this spot TELL THEM YOU WILL WAIT ANY AMOUNT OF TIME FOR A BETTER TABLE. You will thank me later :)
On a separate note, skip the cocktail bar downstairs, despite the relaxed speakeasy decor, the stench of sewer was...
Read moreAbsolutely wonderful restaurant. The interiors and branding are stunning. The atmosphere here is wonderful and I could have spent all night here.
The staff were absolutely wonderful. So lovely and professional. Always coming over to check on us and having a sweet chat! It feels like a homey place where every single server cares about you and your experience.
We were cared for by every single person in such a seamless way. 5 stars for the team! They are amazing.
The food is absolutely stunning. We got a bottle of red wine which was amazing and we made sure to take a photo of it cause we loved it so much.
We then had the chorizo and spiced prawns to start. oh my gosh! Were they delicious, they are small in portion but the taste is so powerful. We could have ate so much more of them.
Then we got a carbonara and the Parma ham pizza. Both were fantastic and the base was the best base we have had in Edinburgh.
Lastly for dessert we had the sorbet and my partner got 2 affogatos. The sorbet was stunning but my partner decided to try the affogato which comes with rum! He LOVED it. He said it was the best dessert he’s ever had. He finished it and wanted more so we said “why not” and ordered another one!
All in all! 5 stars for everything! Such a wonderful experience and we had the best date night ever here.
As locals this has to be one of the best restaurants in Edinburgh now so I would suggest all locals try!
If you are a tourist I would recommend booking a table during your visit as it’s a MUST to eat...
