It wasn't the high rating that pulled me in, but also the amazing photos of others experiences with an urge for Haggis which I'd longed for. There was a new twist on the national dish in tower form, and it was an absolute spectacle when the plate arrived in front of me. How the haggis and potato has been constructed with the sauce was a absolute delight, eating wasn't ony easy but well enjoyed. I'd gone back the day after and had the sausage & mash, and they don't hold back on the sausages as they were a grand size which most vendors should take not of as that's what the dish is about. However the great service was displayed when I asked for a whisky. Though I didn't know what I wanted the staff were able to ascertain my flavour profile and make suggestions of 2 different whiskeys, that were thoroughly enjoyed. This bar is a great place to enjoy time on your own, or with good company which you'll make with the friendly staff or other customers you'll meet. If you want a great experience of Scottish food and culture, then do swing by this Whiski bar! đĽ đ

All in all come if you got time to spear and enjoy waiting. The crew is pleasent enough but my meal should not have taken more then 2 hours. The food is good however, you can probably find the same quality and higher for this price range. Started with a Highlander whiskey cocktail that was very refreshing. place with lots of character. The variety of whiskey tasting options is mind boggling. Served sparkling mineral water with ice. When I asked to remove the ice, they also removed the lemon. It feels nitpicky perhaps but it is a clear sign for attention by the crew. The salmon starter was great. Good portion. Refreshing delightful starter for a summer day. Main took forever needlessly. Think there was a misunderstanding with the kitchen. The place had business, but not so much it could not be avoided. Even so, the rib eye steak with the mashroom whiskey souce was delicious (a little under cooked, but I rolled with it, some might not like it). The chips were masterly made. A very good dish, thought it is very highly priced as much. The dessert took forever as well, sticky pudding was good but not worth the wait.

Food here is great! I got the Cullen Skink Soup, which was really delicious. The Haggis Tower with Whisky sauce is absolutely delicious - if youâre gonna try haggis while in Edinburgh it should be here, with the whisky sauce. Itâs the best Iâve had anywhere in Scotland. I also got the cranachan which was definitely worth it, and Iâd recommend this exact meal for anyone coming to Edinburgh. My tour guide the night before specifically recommended this spot for the haggis and whisky sauce, and it was absolutely a great recommendations. The bar is also really cool, and this place serves breakfast until 11:45 am, in case youâre a late starter but want something decent - Iâd guess the rest of the food was also really good based on my lunch experience as described above. I went for lunch at like 12:30 and it was not very busy. Service was great. Will definitely be coming back.

OVERVIEW I only ordered the Cullen skink; it was the best one I have had so far! PLUS + The âCullen skinkâ was very good at a 4* level. The freshly smoked haddock and fragrant leeks self-seasoned the soup and gave it a bold flavour and character. + The âCullen skinkâ was a large portion for a starter and could have easily been ordered as a main course. + The hospitality at this restaurant in terms of customer care and attentiveness to diners was at a 5* level. Furthermore, staff menu recommendations were based on genuine advice rather than formality. + Quick lunch time service. + Walk-in lunch time availability. + The restaurant had a rustic, empire-style interior, which complemented the food served. MINUS - The restaurant could benefit from a quick, hassle-free table QR code payment method, i.e., the "Sunday" payments app. ORDER Starter: * Cullen Skink

walking around the center of this magical city, we were looking for where we can eat some typical edinburgh food, and i don't know how many other better places there can be, this is something i will see next time, but for now this pub has been truly excellent; starting from the aesthetics of the place which is really wonderful and characteristic, the smile of the girls who welcomed and served us was really warm, the food was spectacular, the Haggis was really tasty, well matched with the mashed potatoes, and accompanied with a truly exceptional tasty âpeppercorn sauceâ that really gave that extra touch of creaminess to an already exceptional dish; Fish and chips was also a surprise as the batter that enclosed the fish was not greasy at all, in the dish there were peas which were not enriched with anything unfortunately however, even if they did not give any additional strength to the dish they were still coupons; then we moved on to taste the whiskies, one of the reasons why we came to edinburgh, is the pub with an extensive list of scotch whiskies, but the really wonderful thing was seeing in the wall a list of whiskeys separated by genre, peat and flavouring. ; can't wait to come back to eat the same dish again and taste other whiskeys!!! camminando per il centro di questa magica cittĂ , eravamo alla ricerca su dove poter mangiare qualche piatto tipico di Edimburgo, e non so quanti altri posti migliori ci possono essere, questa è una cosa che vedrò la prossima volta, ma per ora questo pub è stato veramente eccellente; iniziando dallâestetica del locale che è davvero stupenda e caratteristica, il sorriso delle ragazze che ci hanno accolto e servito è stato davvero caloroso, il cibo Ă stato spettacolare, lâHaggis era veramente gustoso, bene abbinato con il purè di patate, e ed accompagnato con una salsa tipo âpeppercorn sauceâ davvero eccezionale gustosa che donava davvero quel tocco di cremositĂĄ in piĂš ad un piatto giĂ eccezionale; il Fish and chips è stato anche una sorpresa in quanto la pastella che racchiudeva il pesce non era affatto unta, nel piatto câerano i piselli che non sono stati arricchiti con nulla purtroppo però, anche se non davano nessuna forza aggiuntiva al piatto erano comunque buoni; poi siamo passati ad assaggiare i whisky, uno dei motivi PerchĂŠ siamo venuti ad Edimburgo, è il pub a una vasta lista di whisky scozzesi, ma la cosa davvero meravigliosa è stato vedere nell muro una lista di whisky separati per genere, torba ed aromatizzazione; non vedo lâora di tornare per mangiare di nuovo lo stesso piatto e assaggiare altri whisky !!!
